During the gathering, Governor Bala Mohammed expressed deep appreciation to family members for their unwavering support of his administration. He assured them that, as their son, father, and grandfather, he remains committed to serving with integrity and ensuring the equitable distribution of projects across all 20 local government areas.

Bauchi First Lady Mourns Uncle, Late Sarkin Alkaleri, Who Passed Away at 100

The First Lady of Bauchi State, Hajiya Aisha Bala Mohammed, is mourning the loss of her uncle, the Sarkin Alkaleri, who passed away at the age of 100.

The late traditional ruler, who was her father’s brother, was a highly respected leader in Alkaleri Local Government and played a vital role in the development of his people. His passing marks the end of a remarkable legacy of wisdom, leadership, and dedication to community service.

In her heartfelt condolence message, the First Lady expressed deep sorrow, remembering her late uncle as a guiding figure in her life.

“The passing of my dear uncle, His Royal Highness, is a painful and personal loss for me and my family. He was not just a leader but a father figure whose wisdom, kindness, and commitment to our people were truly inspiring. His legacy will live on, and we pray that Allah grants him Aljannat Firdaus and gives us all the strength to bear this great loss,” she said.

The Sarkin Alkaleri’s funeral prayer was attended by top government officials, traditional rulers, and a large gathering of sympathizers who came to pay their final respects. His leadership and contributions to Alkaleri and Bauchi State will be remembered for generations to come.

Haj Aisha Bala Mohammed, First Lady of Bauchi State, Celebrates International Women's Day

The First Lady of Bauchi State, Haj Aisha Bala Mohammed, has extended heartfelt greetings to women across the state and the world, celebrating their achievements and contributions to society.

In her message, the First Lady Haj Aisha Bala Mohammed (Sarauniyar Bauchi ) emphasized the importance of recognizing the critical roles women play in shaping the future of families, communities, and nations.

She highlighted the strength, resilience, and determination of women, noting that, despite the challenges they face, women continue to rise and contribute meaningfully to society.

"This day serves as a reminder of the invaluable contributions that women make in every aspect of life," said Haj Aisha Bala Mohammed. "From leaders to caregivers, educators to innovators, women are the cornerstone of progress and the driving force behind change in our society."

The First Lady also acknowledged the significance of this year's International Women’s Day theme, “DigitALL: Innovation and Technology for Gender Equality,” which calls for greater inclusion and leadership of women in the fields of innovation and technology.

A Celebration of Culture and Economic Survival in the 20th Century.

The First Lady of Bauchi State, Hajiya Dr. Aisha Bala Mohammed, attended an event in Kano on 28th January at the I Care Woman and Youth Initiative program, under the leadership of Hajiya Amina Namadi Sambo.

The event, themed ”Farfado da Al’adun Hausa da Tattaunawa kan Tattalin Arzikin Karni na Ashirin da Daya,”focused on reviving Hausa traditions and discussing economic sustainability in the 21st century.

The program aimed to promote awareness of Hausa traditions and their influence on economic survival in the 20th century. It featured various activities designed to highlight the depth and resilience of Hausa culture, bringing together dignitaries, scholars, and community leaders in a collective effort to celebrate and preserve this integral aspect of African heritage.

On the second day of the event, Hajiya Aisha Bala Mohammed toured the exhibition stands, exploring a wide range of Hausa traditional items. These included foods such as wasa-wasa, qundun kaza, dànshi, tubani, qosan rogo, and alkubus, as well as clothing, books, cultural art designs, historical artifacts, cooking materials, and other handcrafted items.

The First Lady of Bauchi State, in partnership with the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI)—a program led by Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu—has successfully concluded the Young Farmers Club Empowerment Program, benefiting 60 primary and secondary school students across the state.

As part of the empowerment, each student received a share of ₦100,000, seeds, watering cans, and essential farming tools, equipping them with the necessary resources to begin their agricultural journey. The initiative, organized in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security, aims to foster early interest in farming and ensure long-term food security.
