Kungiyar SEMON ta nuna jin daɗinta da nadin Inyamuri na farko a matsayin limamin masallacin kasa dake Abuja.
Kungiyar (Society for the Empowerment of Nigerian Muslims)(SEMON) wata ƙungiya ce da ke aiki don karfafawa al'ummar Musulmi a Najeriya gwiwa, Babban burinta shi ne bunkasa jin dadin rayuwa da cigaban Musulmi a fannonin addini, zamantakewa, da tattalin arziki.
Kungiyar tana mai da hankali kan shugabanci, tarbiyya, da kuma haɗin kan al’umma domin cimma cigaba mai dorewa a tsakanin Musulmi a Najeriya.
Hakanan tana goyon bayan jagoranci mai inganci ta hanyar da ta dace da koyarwar addinin Musulunci.
Kungiyar cikin wata sanarwa da aka sanya hannu a kai karkashin jagorancin Shugaban Ƙungiya na riƙo, Dr. Suleiman Afikpo da Sakatare Janar na Ƙasa, Ustaz Sirajuddeen Ugwu, a ranar Jumma’a.

“Muna addu’a Allah (SWT) ya ba ka hikima, ƙarfin zuciya, da ƙarfin gwiwa don gudanar da wannan aiki mai nauyi, Allah ya sa jagorancinka ya kawo haɗin kai, zaman lafiya, da tsoron Allah.
“Muna kuma yabawa da jagorancin Babban Masallacin Ƙasa da Majalisar Koli ta Musulunci ta Najeriya (NSCIA), ƙarƙashin jagorancin Shugaban ta, Mai Girma, mai Alfarma sarkin Musulmi Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar."

Kebbi Government Pays Compensation for Tsamiya Inland Dry Port and Argungu Old Bye-Pass Road Dualization

The Kebbi State Government, under the leadership of Governor Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu, has paid compensation to persons whose farmlands have been acquired for the construction of the Tsamiya Inland Dry Port in Shaguna, Bagudo Local Government.
Similarly, compensation has been paid to residents whose structures would be removed to make way for the dualization of the Argungu Old Bye-Pass Road.
The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Lands and Housing, TPL, Alhaji Abubakar Ahmed, announced this on Wednesday in Birnin Kebbi.
According to him, the state government disbursed ₦289.542 million in compensation for over 200 hectares of land and economic trees to acquire land for the Tsamiya Inland Dry Port project in Shaguna, a border town between Nigeria and the Republic of Benin.
The money was paid to beneficiaries in Tsamiya on Wednesday, witnessed by the Commissioner for Lands and Housing, Hon. Muhammad Dangi Juli, the Permanent Secretary, officials from the Ministry, the Bagudo Local Government Chairman and Councillors.
Also present were representatives of the Gwandu Emirate, the Ministry of Justice, Security Agencies, the Ministry of Finance as well as community leaders.
TPL Ahmed expressed satisfaction about the smooth implementation of the exercise, attributing its success to the full cooperation of the community.
He also thanked Governor Nasir Idris for making the necessary funds available.
He explained that the Governor was highly interested in the realization of the Tsamiya Inland Dry Port in Shaguna due to its potential to significantly enhance trade and commerce between Kebbi State and the Republic of Benin, facilitating easier movement of goods and boosting the local economy.
In a related development, the Permanent Secretary disclosed that the state government has also paid ₦339.913 million in compensation for structur.

NAF Airlifts Relief Materials Donated by First Lady to Borno Flood Victims
The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has once again demonstrated its commitment to providing Aid to Civil Authority, completing an airlift mission on October 16, 2024, to deliver essential relief materials to flood victims in Borno State. The relief supplies, donated by Senator Oluremi Tinubu, First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, under the Renewed Hope Initiative, were airlifted by the NAF's C-130 Hercules aircraft from Abuja to Maiduguri. These critical resources include:
- Food Items: Essential supplies to sustain affected communities
- Clothing: Much-needed attire for victims
- Sanitary Essentials: Critical items to maintain hygiene and dignity
- Toys for Children: A gesture of hope and comfort
The relief materials were received by senior NAF officers, led by the Air Component Commander, Operation HADIN KAI, before being handed over to the Borno State Government for distribution to flood victims. This mission underscores the NAF's dedication to providing timely humanitarian assistance, particularly in regions severely impacted by natural disasters. The NAF also launched a medical outreach program to support the flood victims and provided food for over 2,000 Internally Displaced Persons during the crisis.The collaboration between the First Lady's office and the NAF highlights the significance of collective effort in alleviating the suffering of those affected by the flood in Borno State.

THERE IS NO VACUUM IN LEADERSHIP AS THE PRESIDENT AND VP ARE OUT OF THE COUNTRY
Following enquiries by journalists as to who is in charge of our country as the President and Vice President are out of the country, we want to clarify:
1. It is important to note that the President and Vice President are fully engaged with the nation's affairs, even while they are away. There is no leadership vacuum in the country.
2. President Tinubu left the country on 3 October and is on a two-week working vacation. During this time, he has been busy answering phones and issuing directives on matters of state. He will soon return to the country before the vacation officially expires.
3. The vice president departed the country Wednesday for Sweden on an official visit, working for Nigeria.
4. All state organs are functioning as usual. The Senate President, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Ministers, and Service Chiefs are all in their respective positions, ensuring the smooth operation of the government.
5. We had a similar situation in 2022 when former President Buhari and former Vice President Osinbajo were found to be simultaneously out of the country. President Buhari attended UNGA 77, while Osinbajo participated in the burial of Queen Elizabeth ll.
6. We have also experienced it during this administration. Between late April and early May this year, while President Tinubu was in London, after visiting the Netherlands and Saudi Arabia, where he attended the World Economic Forum, Vice President Shettima left Nigeria, first of all for Nairobi to attend the International Development Association (IDA21) Heads of State Summit. After returning, he left for Dallas, Texas, to attend the US-Africa Business Summit organised by the Corporate Council on Africa. President Tinubu returned home on 8 May. During this time, the government's machinery did not halt.
7. The Constitution, a testament to our adaptability in the virtual age, does not explicitly require the physical presence of either the president or the vice president in the country at all times to fulfil his duties.

IGP HOSTS HISTORIC MEETING WITH PAST INSPECTORS-GENERAL OF POLICE.
Discusses Groundbreaking Policies
In line with the vision and policy of inclusivity of the present leadership of the Force, the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, PhD., NPM, today on the 16th of October 2024 played host to the committee of former IGPs, at IGP’s Smart Conference Hall, Louis Edet House, Force Headquarters, Abuja. The past IGPs that were present included IGP Aliyu Attah GCON, NPM, mni, (Rtd); IGP Sunday Ehindero CFR, NPM, fwc, (Rtd); IGP Mike Okiro CFR, NPM, mni, (Rtd); IGP Mohammed Abubakar CFR, NPM, mni (Rtd) and the 21st Inspector-General of Police, IGP Alkali Baba Usman psc+, NPM, fdc, (Rtd). The meeting aimed to facilitate a meaningful dialogue for the purpose of fortifying the foundation of effective policing in Nigeria.
The meeting fostered an in-depth exchange of ideas, highlighting the profound insights from past IGPs, who shared valuable experiences arising from their tenure and the evolution of policing methods.
IGP Egbetokun acknowledged the invaluable contributions of the past IGPs who are doyens in Policing, emphasizing that their tenures have constructed solid foundations for the NPF, with each past IGP playing a pivotal role in reforming the Nigeria Police Force to match up with its peers across the globe.
The past IGPs seized the opportunity to address and share their experiences with the members of the Force management team, AIGs, CPs, and other senior officers working within the Force Headquarters.
