ENVIRONMENTAL SANITATION IDENTIFIED AS A KEY STRATEGY FOR PREVENTING INFECTIOUS DISEASES AND MANAGING FLOODING IN BIRNIN KUDU LOCAL GOVT.

The Executive Chairman of Birnin Kudu Local Government, Hon. Bluider Muhammad Uba, has emphasized the importance of environmental sanitation as an effective method of preventing the spread of infectious diseases and mitigating the impact of seasonal flooding. This was disclosed through the Councilor representing Wash Ward, Hon. Haladu Maigari, during the monthly environmental sanitation exercise initiated by the Jigawa State Government.

The exercise focused on cleaning public areas and drainages to eliminate waste and filth. Hon. Haladu Maigari, speaking on behalf of the chairman, stated that the local government has adopted this system as a proactive measure against diseases such as malaria, cholera, and flooding.

He further noted that Birnin Kudu Local Government collaborates with various civil society organizations to promote environmental cleanliness. He commended Hon. Bluider Muhammad Uba for his commitment to the well-being of the people, particularly in maintaining a healthy environment.

The representative from the State Ministry of Environment, Malam Muhammad Suraja, expressed satisfaction with the conduct of the sanitation exercise and praised the active participation of the community and supporting organizations.

Additionally, the Head of Sanitation and Safe Water Supply, Alhaji Baffa Abdullahi, alongside Environmental Sanitation Officer Malam Saminu Ubaye, commended the chairman for providing adequate sanitation equipment and for his efforts in sensitizing the public on the importance of cleanliness.

Lastly, security agencies were acknowledged for their strong support in ensuring the success of the sanitation program.

Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC) Jigawa State Chapter Award of Recognition

The Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC), Jigawa State chapter, has honored the Executive Chairman of Birnin Kudu Local Government, Hon. Bldr. Dr. Muhammad Uba, with an Award of Recognition as one of the best-performing chairmen in the state.

This prestigious recognition was presented in acknowledgment of his outstanding contributions and effective implementation of the 100-hectare rice farming policy initiated by His Excellency, the Governor of Jigawa State, Malam Umar Namadi Fca.

Out of the 27 local government chairmen in Jigawa State, only 17 chairmen were selected for this award, with Hon. Bldr. Dr. Muhammad Uba standing out for his dedication, vision, and results-driven leadership.

The Birnin Kudu Local Government Chairman received wide praise for his commitment to following the Governor’s 12-point agenda, which serves as a blueprint for sustainable development, agricultural transformation, and economic growth across Jigawa State.

This recognition further cements Birnin Kudu’s place as a shining example of progress, partnership, and people-centered governance.

At the Inauguration of Kangire Pulse Centre, 16th September 2025

Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim.
Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh.

Your Excellency, the Executive Governor of Jigawa State, Malam Umar Namadi (Malam ya na kan DAI DAI);
Your Excellency, the Deputy Governor, Engr. Aminu Usman;
The Right Honourable Speaker, QS Haruna Aliyu Dangyatin;
Our Honourable Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Agriculture, Alhaji Yusuf Tuggar and Alhaji Abubakar Kyari;
The Secretary to the State Government, Malam Bala Ibrahim Mamser;
The Chief of Staff, Senator Mustapha Makama Kiyawa;
Members of the State Executive Council, House of Assembly, Royal Fathers, invited guests, security agencies, press, and the great people of Birnin Kudu.

I warmly welcome you to this historic inauguration of the Kangire Pulse Centre.

This Centre is a major milestone in our collective journey to boost agriculture, food security, and economic development. It will promote the production, processing, and marketing of pulses, create jobs, empower youth and women, and enhance livelihoods across Birnin Kudu and Jigawa State.

We remain grateful to His Excellency, Malam Umar Namadi, for his 12-point agenda that places agriculture at the heart of development, and to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the Renewed Hope Initiative.

In Kangire Ward alone, within one year, we have delivered water projects, health facilities, schools, roads, mosques, teachers’ recruitment, and support to irrigation farmers—clear evidence of progress.

This Pulse Centre is another step forward. Together, let us sustain it for the benefit of our farmers and future generations.

On behalf of the people of Birnin Kudu, I thank His Excellency, our visiting dignitaries, and all our guests for honouring us. May Almighty Allah grant you safe return to your destinations.

His Excellency, the Governor of Jigawa State, Malam Umar Namadi, attended the grand inauguration of the Pulse Centre in Kangire town Birnin Kudu local Government alongside the Honourable Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Honourable Minister of Agriculture, His Royal Highness the Emir of Dutse Hamim Nuhu Muhammad Sunusi,Senator Sabon Muhammad Nakudu, Hon. Faruk Adamu Aliyu, and Bldr.Dr.Muhammad Uba , the Executive Chairman of Birnin Kudu Local Government.

During the ceremony, the Executive Chairman of Birnin Kudu, Bldr. Dr. Muhd.Uba delivered a goodwill message, expressing his profound appreciation to the Governor for consistently bringing development projects to Birnin Kudu Local Government. He Added "Mallam Yana kan Dai Dai."
