DISTRICT REVIVAL MEETING AKANI ESUK DISTRICT HEADQUARTER

Day three: Wednesday Evening.

Speaker: Eld. Udeme J. Udoh
Interpreter: Deacon Nsikak A. Effiong

Theme: EPHRAIM IS LIKE CAKE NOT TURNED, YET HE DOES NOT KNOW.
Text: Hosea 7:8-9

✅NOTE:
God spoting a strange attitude amongst the Empreamites stated that they where uncertain and inconsistent. Their faith where recked and beliefs where shattered, hence they associated with the unbelievers and became slaves to other gods.

This can be likened to the present Christians who have forsaken God, lost their faith and confidence in God and sought for help from strange gods because of life challenges.

✅Steps to avoid being unstable
1. Build a strong spiritual foundation. Psalm 119:105
2. Be acquainted with the word of God. Joshua 1:8
3. Communicate with God daily through prayers.
4. Engage in fasting. Matthew 6:16-18
5. Get committed to a local church.
6. Use the little you have to support others who are in need.
7. Avoid compromise. Romans 8:2
8. Grow through challenges. See hardship as a means of building your faith. James 1:2-4
9. Have a good and godly mentor. Proverbs 27:17
10. Love one another.

In conclusion, look up to Jesus, the author and the finisher of our faith. Don't be lukewarm and unstable. Be steadfast in God because in him alone lies our salvation.

✅ Things that hinder us from receiving when we ask
1. Sin
2. Disobedient (1Sam 15:1-down)

Case Study
Saul and Amalek

2 Chronicles 7:14-15
If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land. Now my eyes will be open and my ears attentive to the prayers offered in this place.

Conclusively, let us repent and live shun evil ways so that when we ask we received, when we knock it shall be open for us and when we seek we shall find.

They are three key words in the theme:

- Seek:
is a verb, past tense being sought; being to look for or to find
- Knock:
is a verb, to hit inorder to attract attention.
- These key words are divine-conditional requests because one needs to fulfill a certain requirements to access them; it is not an open cheque.

CONDITIONS FOR ACCESSING THE ASK, SEEK AND KNOCK PRINCIPLE

- One must established a relationship with God living by the principal of faith, obedience and continuous payment of tithe and offerings ( Jn 14:13-14, 1st Jn 3:24)
