The Word
Speaker: Pst E. O. Bassey
Topic: Christ as our victory
Text : 1st Corinthians 15 : 55 - 57

Christ is our victory is more than just a phrase; it's a declaration of our faith. It means that we've got hope, we've got redemption, and we've got a fresh start. Through Jesus' sacrifice, sin's power is broken, and death's sting is gone. It's like the enemy's strongest weapon has been turned against itself.

In 1 Corinthians 15:57, it says, "But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ." That's our anthem, our battle cry! We've got the victory because Christ has overcome the world (John 16:33).

**Benefits of Christ as our victory**
β€’ new life in Christ
β€’ salvation from sin
β€’ Access to God's presences
β€’ Gives us strength and Hope

In conclusion
In Christ, our victory isn't just a future promise; it's a present reality. As we stand on the truth of 1 Corinthians 15:55-57, we're reminded that our struggles aren't in vain. We've got a risen Savior who's turned the tables on sin and death. So, let's walk in the confidence of our victory, embracing the new life, salvation, access to God, strength, and hope we have in Him.

Theme: Weep Not
Text: Revelation 5:5

WEEP NOT is a message of hope, Comfort and patience. It reminds believers that God sees their pain and will bring back joy after sorrow.
The statement weep not was made by different speakers, depending on the passage of the Bible it is found

NOTES:
πŸ“ŒThe book that was sealed with seven seals was a book of pain and sorrow and no man was able to open it. (Revelation 5:1-5)

πŸ“Œ When Jesus saw the widow and her dead son, he had Compassion on her, and said unto her. Weep not. And he touched the coffin and said unto the dead man, Arise, and he sat up and began to speak. (Luke 7:13)

πŸ“ŒThe Lord has swallowed death in victory (Isaiah 25:8)

πŸ“ŒAll the weeping, bad luck, and sorrow that the enemy planted on our forehead, it is wiped off and replaced with joy.

DISTRICT COMBINE SERVICE
LAST SUNDAY OF FEBRUARY

SERMON SESSION
Speaker: Pastor Etim Orok Bassey
Interpreter: Deacon Koffi Bassey Koffi

Theme: God said let there be light and there was light
Text: Genesis 1:3

Note: Light is a symbol of God's presence, power and goodness.

Through our Lord Jesus and Savior who was proclaimed as the light of the world, we his disciples are also the light

Light and darkness cannot coexist, light is so powerful that darkness can't comprehend it, darkness is wickedness & sin

A follower of the light (Jesus) must be like his mentor; the qualities that were present in Jesus must be present in such individual.
