WORD MINISTRATION
Ministering: Asst. Pst. Archibong Efanga
Interpreted by: Elder Kooffreh Solomon
Topic: The True and solid foundation
Text: Matthew 7:24-27
Bible Ref(s): John16:33
Every man desires a solid foundation; any foundation that is not established on a solid foundation will eventually fall off and cannot stand the test of time.
The real foundation of man’s life is always hidden and can only be proven in the face of the storm.
Key points from Matthew 7:24-27
1. HEARING AND DOING THE WORD OF GOD: Hearing and doing the word of God are two different things. A man who hears and does the word of God is likened to a wise man and a man who hears without doing the word of God is likened to a foolish man. Our stability relies on the obedience to the word of God (Mark 13:31, Isa. 1:19)
How to make our foundation strong
By meditating in the word of God and putting it into practice (Ps. 1:2-3, 119:11). This is a sure way to building a solid foundation therefore, it is necessary to be a doer of the word of God.
2. NATURE OF FOUNDATION: The nature of foundation comprises of the rock and sand; The times of storms proves the nature of our foundation. This simply applies to our work of Faith with God., (Ps. 119:71)
Building a foundation on the sand implies living in self-righteousness, worldly wisdom and trusting on one’s understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6)
Note that; Building your life on Christ does not exempt you from the storm of life but ensures your life does not collapse when these storms arise. (1st Corinthians 3:5&11)
Look unto Jesus alone as your sure foundation for he alone can perfect your faith in him and give you a solid foundation
