Imagine working from 8am to 11pm every single day. Paying out of pocket for daily expenses, writing endless reports where even small mistakes came with penalties. On top of that, handling deliveries, packing stock, stepping in as a waiter when needed, fostering healthy working environment for staff and vendors and even cleaning when no one else was available .
The workload was overwhelming, and despite being promised fair pay, I ended up leaving sick, stressed, and unpaid for my efforts.
My August experience was both unfortunate and unforgettable — it taught me how important it is to value myself and to seek workplaces that truly respect and support their staff.
