THE DANGERS OF PROPHECIES
Relying on prophecies is the most dangerous gamble of life.
Firstly, a prophecy can only be authenticated by the prophet or the source, and then again, only the supposed prophet can tell the source, if at all there was any. So it is not actually possible to prove the truism of a prophecy till it's fulfillment.
Hence, it is safe to say that prophecies are only validated at their fulfillment.
Away from the truism of prophecies being dependent on their source and fulfilment for validation, being a divine prediction with a supposed high degree of possible fulfillment, we cannot ignore the fact that it is still a case of probability; a probable future possible reality. So, it is a gamble.
Here lies the dangers of prophecies:
1. You are unsure of the source, so, it could either be false or true.
2. If it were true, its fulfillment still remain uncertain, as you were not part of any contract for its fulfillment, and you do not know for sure the authority that authenticated the prophecy if it will not later decide to anull it and stop its fulfillment. So, you are told to have faith. Like, "Relax, Tinubu is Fixing Nigeria". Like, "Ayade is working". In Wike's voice: "Fake! All fake".
3. In your conviction about its truism, you become programmed by it to abandon every other path that would have led to the destination the prophecy points at, banking on a prophecy to save the day. Like a people being enslaved for considerable long time, who have refused to stand up for themselves against the oppressor because of whispers of a prophesied saviour; whispers passed down from generation to generation. In this, I say prophecies give rise to laziness and stupidness.
Prophecies are mental chains used to hold a people down generation after generation.
You may question my thoughts and opinion on this, and tag it the thoughts of an unbeliever; but then, to believe is to doubt. You must stand on the foundation of doubt to express believe. Hence, I refuse to be a believer on this matter of the dangers of reliability on prophecies, because i know.
