REFLECTION

Paul says, “Have no anxiety about anything but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your request be made known to God” (Phil 4:6). One thing the Holy Spirit teaches us is the power of prayer and praise. Prayer and praise are powerful tools of the Holy Spirit to cause miraculous interventions of God. While Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God and the prisoners were listening, suddenly, God intervened in a mighty unexpected way. In the face of temptation, difficulty or crisis, pray and sing hymns to God-his intervention will be exceptional.

CONGRATULATIONS, CARDINAL TAGLE, ON YOUR NEW ROLE!

On Saturday, Pope Leo XIV appointed Cardinal Luis Antonio Tagle as the new Cardinal Bishop of Albano, one of the seven prestigious suburbicarian dioceses near Rome. Tagle, who currently serves as the pro-prefect of the Dicastery for Evangelization, takes over the title from Pope Leo himself—formerly Cardinal Robert Prevost—who held it since February 2025 before his election to the papacy. This marks a return for Tagle to a familiar post, as he previously held the title of San Felice da Cantalice in Centocelle and was elevated to the rank of cardinal bishop in 2022, while maintaining ties to that titular church.

REFLECTION

We do not belong to the world. We are citizens of heaven. We belong to God and we listen to him. Anyone who listens to God takes right decisions. What one requires in order to be at the right place is to take the right decision. Right decision makes one grow in all kinds of goodness. Right decision makes the church grow in the faith and in numbers (Acts 16:4-5). Right decisions are products of openness to the directions of the Holy Spirit. Deliberate on issues, talk with someone, pray, listen to the inner promptings of the spirit, and you will receive right direction.

WHY ARE THERE TWO ANGELS BESIDE THE POPE’S CHAIR?🤔
Ever noticed the two cherubs beside the Pope’s chair in the image attached to this post, or in papal settings? They’re not just decorations. They tell a story rooted in Scripture and sacred tradition.

These two angels reflect the Ark of the Covenant (Exodus 25:18–22), where God told Moses to place two cherubs on either side of the mercy seat, God’s dwelling place on earth.

So, why are they beside the Pope?

Because the Pope, as the successor of Peter, teaches from the Chair of Truth. These angels symbolize that his teaching authority is sacred, watched over, and guided by Heaven itself.

It’s not just a throne.
It’s a seat of Divine Mission.
It’s not just tradition.
It’s a visible sign of invisible grace.

Pope Leo XIV offered this moving reminder during his first Mass as Pontiff together with the cardinal electors and other cardinals present in Rome, in the Sistine Chapel, the same place where the electors, with at least a two-thirds majority, elected him as the 267th Pope in the fourth ballot on Thursday afternoon.
