📣 Hello Beauties! Let’s Learn How to Set & Bake Like a Pro!
Today, I want to teach you something that every pro makeup artist knows and every beginner needs to learn —
How to Set and Bake Your Makeup the Right Way 💄✨
⸻
💡 First, Understand the Difference:
• Setting means using a small amount of powder to lock your foundation and concealer in place.
• Baking means applying a generous amount of powder on specific areas, leaving it for a minute or two, then dusting it off. This helps brighten and control oil.
⸻
💋 Why Is This Important?
Without setting or baking, your makeup can:
– Crease under the eyes
– Rub off easily
– Look oily too fast
– Fade in just a few hours
We don’t want that! So let me teach you how to do it properly:
⸻
🪞 STEP-BY-STEP PROCESS
✅ STEP 1: Blend Your Base Well
After applying your foundation and concealer, make sure everything is well blended.
Use a damp beauty sponge to press it into the skin.
⸻
✅ STEP 2: SET THE FACE
Use a fluffy brush and a small amount of loose powder.
Tap it gently on:
– Under the eyes
– Around the nose
– Smile lines
– Chin and forehead
🎯 This prevents creasing and keeps things in place.
⸻
✅ STEP 3: TIME TO BAKE
Now pick up more loose powder with a damp sponge and press it under the eyes (on the brightened concealer).
You can also bake:
– Sides of the nose
– Under the contour (to sharpen the cheekbone)
– Chin and forehead
⏰ Leave it for 1 to 2 minutes only!
⸻
✅ STEP 4: DUST OFF
Use a clean, fluffy brush to gently sweep away the excess powder.
Don’t drag — just flick it off lightly.
⸻
✅ STEP 5: FINISH
Spray your face with a setting spray to melt all the powders into the skin.
Then press your damp sponge lightly all over for a flawless, airbrushed finish.
⸻
🔥 PRO TIPS
• If your under eyes are dry, moisturize lightly before baking.
• Use yellow-toned powders (banana powder) if you have brown skin — it looks better than white powder.
• Don’t bake dry or textured areas. It will only make it worse.
⸻
🎯 PRACTICE TASK
1. Bake under one eye, and only set the other.
2. Compare how each side looks after 3 hours.
3. Share your result in the group!
