From the very beginning of his political journey, Haruna Sardauna has stood out as a leader who places the interest of young people at the center of his vision. Unlike many politicians who only pay lip service to youth empowerment, Sardauna has demonstrated a genuine commitment to creating opportunities for young people to thrive both within politics and beyond.

Sardauna believes that the strength of any nation lies in the active involvement of its youth. He has repeatedly emphasized that no society can progress if young people are left behind in the political and economic process. His philosophy is simple but powerful: empower the youth today, and you build a stronger, more sustainable tomorrow.

In pursuit of this vision, Haruna Sardauna has made deliberate efforts to support youth participation in political activities. Just recently, he sponsored several young men and women to attend the APC conference in Gombe, Nigeria. NORTHERN GOVERNORS URGED TO EMULATE GOV. BUNI'S AGRICULTURAL EMPOWERMENT SCHEME.

The Arewa Youth Solidarity for Good Governance has called on the 19 state governors of Northern Nigeria to emulate Governor Mai Mala Buni's Agricultural Mega Empowerment Scheme. The scheme, which provides local farmers with modern agricultural equipment and inputs, has been hailed as a game-changer in the region.

The leadership of the Arewa Youth Solidarity for Good Governance commended Governor Buni's efforts, noting that his administration's commitment to agricultural development is unprecedented in the country. The group's national coordinator praised the governor's vision for transforming the state's agricultural landscape and empowering local farmers.

We urge the 19 state governors of Northern Nigeria to follow Governor Buni's footsteps and prioritize agricultural development in their respective states. This is a crucial step towards ensuring food security, reducing poverty, and promoting economic growth in our region," the group's leader said.

Nana Shettima Highlights Cultural Ties Between Nigeria and Brazil.

Abuja - In a warm and cordial atmosphere, the wife of the Vice President of Nigeria, Her Excellency Mrs. Nana Shettima, received Her Excellency Maria Lucia Alckmin, the Second Lady of Brazil, on a courtesy visit yesterday.

During their meeting, Mrs. Shettima highlighted the cultural similarities between Nigeria and Brazil, noting that both nations share values and traditions that transcend geographical boundaries. "Nigeria and Brazil are both known for their warmth, resilience, vibrant music—Afrobeats and Samba—love of football, and colourful festivals," she said.

Mrs. Alckmin, who accompanied her husband, Vice President Geraldo Alckmin, on an official visit to Nigeria, shared the story of a women-focused social initiative she launched in 2001. The bread-making project has empowered over 100,000 underprivileged women across 17 Brazilian states, with plans to expand nationwide.

Mrs. Shettima praised the initiative, wishing Mrs. Alckmin a memorable stay in Nigeria and hoping that the visit would leave her with lasting impressions of Nigerian hospitality.

The Brazilian delegation's visit is part of the Second Session of the Nigeria–Brazil Strategic Dialogue Mechanism (SDM), aimed at strengthening bilateral relations between both countries. Over 30 agreements are expected to be signed, covering key sectors such as defence, agriculture, energy, and cultural exchange.

The visit underscores the growing ties between Nigeria and Brazil, with both nations exploring areas of mutual benefit and cooperation.

Vice President Geraldo Alckmin and his wife were welcomed at the Presidential Wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport earlier yesterday, marking the beginning of their official visit to Nigeria.

EID EL-KABIR: Sardauna Disburses N2m Barka da Sallah to Yobe South Youth.

As Muslims around the world prepare to celebrate Eid-el-Kabir, Hon. Haruna Sardauna, Senior Liaison Officer on Political Support Groups to the Yobe State Governor, has demonstrated his commitment to the welfare of the youth in Yobe South.

Sardauna disbursed N2 million to support youth across the four local government areas of Yobe South, with the gesture described as "Barka da Sallah." To ensure the funds reached the most deserving beneficiaries, Sardauna constituted a committee chaired by Hon. Hamza Isa Bubaram, Senior Liaison Officer on Grassroot Political Mobilization to Yobe State Governor Hon. Mai Mala Buni.

The committee, with Hon. Auwal Buba Kukuri as Secretary, was tasked with compiling a shortlist of selected youth to benefit from the N2 million support. Notably, Sardauna funded this initiative with his personal resources, aiming to put smiles on the faces of Yobe South youth during this challenging period.

MMB Reporters and Daga Buni Loyalty Movement Condemn Politician-Orchestrated Prosecutions in Yobe South

The MMB Reporters and Daga Buni Loyalty Movement are alarmed by the escalating trends of threatenings, harassments, intimidations, and illegal Prosecutions of their members in Yobe South. We have compelling evidence that almost during every Buni loyalty political engagement, our team members do faces different threatenings, molestations and confrontations and it is clear of any daubt that politicians are behind the misuse of security personnel and the judiciary to silence our members tactically.

Increasingly in the trends of this challenges, we currently have six ongoing cases against our members all of which we believe are politically motivated with a complex political interest. At different time, our members have been subjected to arbitrary arrests, detention, and trumped-up charges. We are deeply concerned about the blatant disregard for human rights, the rule of law, and the independence of the judiciary.

It is plain on our records that; on 8th/12/2024, our team members faced a thugs threatening where 4 FIKA LGA attendees Busses were attacked in their attendance to Daga Buni loyalty political engagement conducted in FCE (T) Potiskum. On 30th/11/2025, in Damagum Fune LGA, our team members were threatened by thugs and Similarly, during another segment of Buni loyalty political engagement in Potiskum LGA Secretariat on 24th/11/2024, the attendees of the program also were threatened by thugs.

We urge the relevant authorities to take immediate action to address these grievances and ensure that our members are treated fairly and justly. We demand that the politicians behind these acts of persecution be held accountable for their actions.

We appeal to the general public, human rights organizations, and the international community to join us in condemning these acts of persecution. We will continue to shed light on these injustices and advocate for the rights of our members.

As Chairman of the Northeast APC Youth Stakeholders Forum, I am thrilled to commend Governor Mai Mala Buni's visionary approach to mentorship and leadership development. By appointing over 50 vibrant youths as focal persons across various sectors, Governor Buni has demonstrated his unwavering commitment to empowering the next generation of leaders.

This bold move is a testament to Governor Buni's inclusive leadership style, which prioritizes youth participation and fosters innovation. By giving young minds a chance to contribute to decision-making processes, Governor Buni is not only strengthening governance in Yobe State but also unlocking the hidden talents of its youth.

As his Senior Special Assistant (SSA) during his first tenure. His mentorship and guidance played a significant role in shaping my political career. When I sought his permission to lead the Northeast youth in 2022, he not only granted it but also provided invaluable guidance on navigating national politics. His support went beyond mere permission; he backed me with resources, including an official car and sufficient funding to run the affairs of the forum. This level of support and trust speaks volumes about his commitment to empowering young leaders.

As the closest youngest politician to Governor Mai Mala Buni, I've had the privilege of learning from his exceptional leadership and mentorship style. Governor Buni's commitment to empowering young leaders is truly inspiring, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to work under his guidance.

One of the key lessons I've learned from Governor Buni is the importance of inclusivity and youth participation in governance. As someone who has had the opportunity to work closely with him, I can attest to his unique approach to mentorship. Working under Governor Buni's leadership has been a transformative experience. I've learned invaluable lessons in political pragmatism and strategic maneuvering. What sets him apart as a mentor is his unique approach. He doesn't just provide guidance; he empowers you with the skills and knowledge to navigate the complexities of politics.

Unlike others, Governor Buni's mentorship is characterized by an open-minded and inclusive approach. He doesn't just give you the answers; he teaches you how to think critically and find solutions. His mantra is not "here, take this fish," but rather "let me show you how to swim and catch your own fish." This empowering mindset has not only helped me grow as a politician but also instilled in me a sense of self-reliance and confidence."

I urge other Northeast governors to take a cue from Governor Buni's mentorship style and prioritize youth empowerment in their respective states. MMB Reporters Organize Ramadan Fasting Break, Empower 500 Youths with Cash and Phones.

In a heartwarming display of community support, the Mai Mala Buni Reporters (MMB Reporters) organized a Ramadan fasting break for over 500 youths in the Yobe South Senatorial District. The event, which aimed to bring together members and exchange ideas, also provided financial support and brand-new mobile phones to the attendees.

Comrade Haruna Sardauna, Board of Trustee Chairman of the MMB Reporters in Yobe South Senatorial District, while speaking to newsmen shortly after the event, revealed that “this gesture is the 1st Batch of the 2025 programme, we have 2nd Batch during sallah celebrations as well as 3rd Batch after the sallah, we intend to disburse the sum of N100million. Sardauna emphasized the organization’s commitment to alleviating the sufferings of the youth in the zine. He stated that the gesture is sustainable and will be extended to reach a larger population of youths.

The MMB Reporters' efforts are focused on showcasing the achievements of Governor Mai Mala Buni's administration, which has reportedly performed credibly in various sectors, including education, healthcare, water, security, agriculture, commerce, and infrastructure development.

Notably, the MMB Reporters receive funding from APC leaders, with Governor Mai Mala Buni being the backbone of the organization. Barrister Baba Kura Ba'aba, an APC chieftain in the senatorial district, praised Haruna Sardauna's leadership, describing him as dedicated, committed, and reliable.

GOV. MAI MALA BUNI ASSURES ARMY OF MORE SUPPORT TO END INSURGENCY.

Damaturu - Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni, has reaffirmed his administration's commitment to supporting the Nigerian Army in its quest to end insurgency in the state.

During a courtesy visit by the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Olufemi Olatubosun Oluyede, at the Government House in Damaturu, Governor Buni praised the military's efforts in securing the state.

"The people of Yobe State are now able to move freely and pursue their legitimate businesses without fear, thanks to the improved security situation," Governor Buni said.

He noted that the relative peace enjoyed in the state had enabled his administration to execute its policies and programs aimed at improving the lives of the people.

However, Governor Buni called for increased patrol along the borders to prevent the infiltration of insurgents, who often target soft and isolated targets.

Earlier, the Chief of Army Staff assured Governor Buni of the army's commitment to ending insurgency and banditry in Nigeria.

"It is my personal ambition to see the end of this menace as quickly as possible," Lt. Gen. Oluyede said. "I call on our political leaders and Nigerians to support us in achieving this goal."

The Chief of Army Staff, who had previously served in Yobe State, pledged to deploy his knowledge and experience to help bring an end to insurgency in the state.

He also commended the Yobe State Government for its support to the army and called for more assistance to facilitate the end of insurgency.
