Yobe Rep Pledges Support For Youth

Member representing Nguru, Machina, Yusufari and Karasuwa constituency in the house of representative Honourable Sidi Yakubu karasuwa has pledged his total commitment toward youth empowerment especially those at rural areas.
The legislator stated this while declaring open a five-days entrepreneurship training workshop organized by him in collaboration with Small and Medium scale Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN) for youths from four Local government Areas of his constituency at the Federal Medical Center oldsite Nguru.
Alhaji Sidi who was represented at the occasion by the Garkuwan Nguru Alhaji Goni Yilkan said his decision to make youth empowerment his top priority Was borne out of his desire to actively engage the youth who are drivers of development in making the society better adding that empowerment equipment and tools would be distributed to the participants after the training.
while admonishing the beneficiaries to see the training as an opportunity for them to launch into various businesses of their choice, the law maker Revealed that in addition to those who benefited from his scholarship scheme many others would soon get their own packages.
He said "been a grassroot politician am fully aware of the problems affecting youths especially those at the rural areas and I am fully committed to ensure that youths from all the wards of my constituency are included in my intervention programmes"
In his speech the Zannah Nduma of Nguru Alhaji Mai Umar described Sidi karasuwa as a selfless politician who has dedicated himself to the service of his people stressing that not only the youth women and the elderly had also benefited from his gesture.
Also commenting the consultant in charge of the training Nasiru Suleiman said the objective of the training is to explore the participants on entrepreneurship capacity building adding that at the end of the training they are expected to have knowledge on identification, marketing skills, management skills, business plans as well as making them self reliant.
Leader of the youth who is also the Personal Assistant to the law maker on new media Abubakar ibn Usman Nguru alongside other beneficiaries of the training commended Hon Sidi Karasuwa for his empowerment programmes urging other politicians to emulate the gesture.
