“Together We Will Make FUD Lively” Dean Students Affairs Abubakar Yahaya Assures While Supervising Students’ Welfare During Sallah at Halls of Residence

The Dean of Students Affairs Division, Federal University Dutse, has conducted an early morning visit to all students’ hostels to assess the welfare and living conditions of students who spent the Sallah break on campus.

According to the Dean, all hostels currently have stable electricity and water supply except one hostel experiencing water shortage. The affected Hall Administrator has already been directed to immediately pump water for the students.

The Dean reaffirmed the commitment of the university management to students’ comfort and wellbeing, stressing that students’ welfare remains a top priority.

FUD Declares Eid-El-Kabir Public Holiday for Staff

The management of Federal University Dutse (FUD) has announced Wednesday, 27th and Thursday, 28th May, 2026 as public holidays for staff to celebrate Eid-El-Kabir. The circular was issued through the Directorate of Human Resources Management under the Office of the Registrar.

The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Ahmad Mohammed Gumel, congratulated the Muslim faithful and described Eid-El-Kabir as a celebration centered on sacrifice, obedience to Allah, compassion, and love for humanity. Staff were also urged to use the period to pray for the University and the nation.

Staff on essential duties are expected to remain at their duty posts, while normal work resumes on Friday, 29th May, 2026.

SECOND SEMESTER IS HERE, FUDITES!

The journey continues as lectures for the 2025/2026 Second Semester officially begin TODAY, Monday 25th May, 2026.

According to the academic calendar, lectures will run for 6 weeks, followed by a 1-week Mid-Semester break, before continuing for an additional 7 weeks.

Academic soldiers, the holiday mood is over Time to wake up early, locate your lecture halls, reunite with classmates, and face the reality of attendance sheets and assignments.

Who is fully ready for this semester and who is still mentally on break?
