Yesterday, we took a bold and impactful step as we distributed over 10,000 sanitary pads to female secondary school students in our state.
Girls’ education remains one of the most crucial pillars for the development of any community. When our girls are educated, empowered, and healthy, the future of our state becomes brighter, stronger, and more prosperous. This is why we continue to place young girls at the heart of our initiatives—ensuring they have the support, dignity, and resources they need to pursue their dreams confidently.
During the program, I encouraged all the students to stay focused, work hard, and remain committed to their studies. The Jigawa State Government is doing everything necessary to improve the quality of education, and we will continue to invest in their growth, wellbeing, and success.
We were honored by the presence of the Honorable Commissioner of Education and his team, the wife of the Secretary to the State Government, wives of members of the State House of Assembly, wives of Local Government Chairmen, the Governor’s aides, and many other government officials who joined us to show their support and solidarity.
Finally, we express our heartfelt appreciation to His Excellency, Malam Umar A. Namadi, FCA, the Executive Governor of Jigawa State—my beloved husband—for his unwavering support and encouragement throughout this milestone. His commitment to uplifting education and improving the welfare of our youth remains a source of inspiration for all of us.
May Almighty Allah continue to bless our dear state and Nigeria as a whole.
Hajiya Hadiza Umar A. Namadi
First Lady of Jigawa State.
