Meet Yusuf — our scholarship beneficiary whose story inspires us every day.

When he joined our program in Primary 1, Yusuf was struggling at 74th position in his class. But with consistent support and encouragement, this past term he proudly climbed to 4th place!

This is the power of opportunity. This is the change your giving creates.
But Yusuf is just one child. Imagine the lives we can transform if more children receive this chance.

Nigeria has just committed a jaw-dropping ₦158 billion to TVET—technical, digital, and vocational training—for 650,000 youth. The government says this marks true commitment to our future.

But let’s be real: we've seen big promises before.
► Will this funding hit classrooms, workshops, and rural training centers—or vanish into administration?
► Will it transform lives in Sokoto and beyond—or simply make headlines?

This matters more than money—it’s about trust. Let’s demand transparency, track implementation, and make sure talk doesn’t drown out action.

Nigeria has rolled out a new 21st-century curriculum promising digital literacy, coding, AI, entrepreneurship, and life skills for our children.

It sounds amazing. It feels refreshing. But Nigerians have heard this kind of promise before.

The big question is:
👉 Will this be implemented in real classrooms—or will it remain another beautiful speech?

Our children don’t need promises, they need practice. Not just talk, but transformation.

What do you think? Will this curriculum change the game—or end up as another missed opportunity?

Nigeria currently has about 17 million out-of-school children—the highest in the world. But change is coming. Dr. Aisha Garba, Executive Secretary of Universal Basic Education Commission, shares how they’re making that change happen:

✅Establishing flexible, community-based learning centers in rural, hard-to-reach, and conflict zones

✅Constructing nearly 5,000 classrooms, renovating 3,000 schools, and setting up ECCDE centers, alternative high schools, and Special Education Schools

✅Distributing over 353,000 furniture units, 1 million+ textbooks, and training 147,608 teachers in inclusive teaching methods

✅Integrating Quranic and modern education models (for Almajiri children), deploying smart boards in remote areas, and partnering with stakeholders to drive progress

Dr. Garba is clear: by 2030, every Nigerian child should be learning in safe, inclusive, tech-enhanced classrooms. And that requires all of us—governments, communities, parents—to make it real.

Nigeria’s education system is finally seeing real progress—not empty promises.

According to Universal Basic Education Commission Executive Secretary Aisha Garba, this year alone has delivered:

✅27 out of 37 states accessing ₦121 billion in previously locked grants—a 65% jump

✅4,900 new classrooms built, 3,000 renovated, and 354,000 furniture units supplied to reach 2.3 million learners

✅A massive ₦22 billion investment in teacher development programs

✅500 officers trained in real-time, digital quality monitoring for schools

This is more than infrastructure—it’s a shift toward performance, accountability, and impact.

Edu-Bank for Education? Why Nigeria Needs a Specialized Funding Model—Now.

Education infrastructure in Nigeria is collapsing—from dilapidated classrooms to nonexistent libraries and labs.

In a recent broadcast, Toyin Larayetan, CEO Zion Study Centre, called on the Federal Government to create an Edu-Bank—a financial vehicle that provides soft loans and grants to school owners and investors, just as the Bank of Agriculture supports farming.

Imagine the potential when funding for real transformation becomes institutionalized, predictable, and scalable—not piecemeal.
