REPORT ON ROTAWEEK 2025
The Rotaract District 9126 successfully organized ROTAWEEK 2025 on Thursday, 13th March 2025, at Lead City University, Ibadan, to celebrate 57 years of Rotaract’s impact, leadership, and service. Themed “People of Action: Building the Bridges,” the event brought together Rotaractors, Rotarians, and students in a vibrant atmosphere of service, learning, and fellowship.
Event Highlights:
The day began with the Rotaract @57 Awareness Trek, where Rotaractors took to the streets of Lead City University, engaging students and the public while raising awareness about the mission and impact of Rotaract. This was followed by a membership drive, offering young professionals and students an opportunity to learn about the benefits of joining Rotaract and contributing to community service.
A key highlight of the program was a radio engagement session, where Rotaractors promoted the essence of Rotaract and led discussions on the Campaign for Healthy Hygiene, reinforcing the importance of good hygiene practices in community well-being.
Additionally, attendees participated in an interactive session with the Rotaract Activities Chair, Rtn. Folake Ladeinde, who shared valuable insights on the growth of Rotaract and the global impact of young leaders in advancing Rotary’s mission.
The event also featured teambuilding activities, networking sessions, reinforcing the spirit of unity and service. The day concluded with a courtesy visit and presentation of Award to the Vice-Chancellor of Lead City University,Professor Adeyemo a past president of Rotary of lbadan and PAG
The event was graced by notable Rotarians,Alummi president of district 9126 Rotarian Olarewaju Akinade, PDR Rotarian Adewale Adesokan Rotaractors, university representatives, and other distinguished guests, whose presence added prestige to the celebration.
ROTAWEEK 2025 was a resounding success, showcasing the dedication of Rotaractors to service, leadership, and community impact. The event not only celebrated 57 years of Rotaract’s existence but also inspired more young individuals to join the People of Action movement.
With enthusiasm, music, dancing, and the signature Rotaract gyration, the atmosphere was electric, reaffirming that Rotaract continues to thrivenurturing changemakers, building bridges, and making a lasting difference.
The program ended on a high note with mild refreshments, bringing the celebration to a joyful close.
