Craat8ev Buxc Installation View

Art Cadre Gallery, in collaboration with Miliki, recently showcased the artistic creations of three artists, Adeoti Azeez, Emeka Ilechukwu, and Adekepemi Aderemi, titled "Out of the Box." The show delves into the worlds of imagination and the power of thinking beyond the box. In a world where conformity frequently stifles innovation, these artists question the status quo with their distinct approaches to visual art, pushing the boundaries of their creativity and expression.

Craat8ev Buxc Book Review

I just published a book review. Afro-Atlantic Histories brings together a selection of more than 400 works and documents by more than 200 artists from the 16th to the 21st centuries that express and analyze the ebbs and flows between Africa, the Americas, the Caribbean and Europe. The book is motivated by the desire and need to draw parallels, frictions and dialogues around the visual cultures of Afro-Atlantic territories―their experiences, creations, worshiping and philosophy.

A place in the heart of Lagos, named in honor of the first Nigerian Prime Minister. The Biennial occupies this historical space, linked to entertainment in the colonial period as a racecourse and to political, cultural, and commercial events after independence, hosting visitors locally and internationally from around the world.
