Stop comparing your life with other people. When you compare yourself to someone who is better at something than you are, it can cause you to feel unqualified even though God is pleased with your progress. When you compare yourself to someone who is worse off than you, it can cause you to think you've “arrived” even though God has given you a greater capacity and called you to do more. Both are corrosive to your soul because God’s qualification of you is not proven by comparison. It is rooted in calling.Father, I thank You for each person reading this today. We submit our definition of success to You. You are our standard. We so want to honor You, to do well, and to grow. We want to expand, but we're so bombarded with other people who are doing it bigger and “better.” And so we get discouraged.Father, we come into your presence today, not entitled, no not at all. But we come to You on the merit of your grace toward us, and our position in your heart as your children. I thank You, Lord, that our times are in your hands. Lord, I thank you that even in this moment you are restoring the hopes, dreams, peace and the right mind of your children, restoring the years that we wasted. We thank you, Lord, that you are bringing it all back. And that little by little, day by day, we will see the goodness of the Lord. Oh Lord. We’ve done all we can. We’ve done all we know. Please help us, Amen.Father Lord, today we're submitting our definition of success to You. We ask that you please guide us, some of us need money, lots of money, some of us need business ideas, some of us want to get married early and to the right person, some of us believe we're leaders and we're meant to rule, Father guide us all and review our definition of success. Some of your children are praying for fruit of the womb, some are creative and they want people to appreciate their work. Some are orphans and they desire adoption, Father Lord. Please help us.
