*HYGIENE*
According to the World Health Organization (WHO), "Hygiene refers to conditions and practices that help to maintain health and prevent the spread of diseases."
Hygiene activities can be grouped into the following:
1. medical hygiene
2. sleep hygiene.
3. food hygiene
Medical hygiene is another aspect of hygiene we shouldn't look away from, especially those who goes to the hospital to take care of their sick ones. It is important you also take care of yourself and carefully watch the medical personnel who takes care of those you brought to the hospital, when a procedure regarding hygiene is done and you see that it is not done properly speak up, even if you are the one who is sick and you are seeing the error also speak up, because if things are not done rightly they may cause more problem to the person you brought to them to treat. For example a wound is supposed to be cleaned thrice with a clean cotton wool and it is just done once and still looks dirty at the end the nurse or doctor in charge went ahead to apply the medication, just because he/she wants to manage material; it might not result in the healing process of that wound, this is why medical hygiene ought to be done accurately in order not to complicate things.
Sleep hygiene: for the fact that you hear more in personal hygiene doesn't close the door to other hygiene, to get a good sleep, you must sleep ensure the environment is comfortable and conducive. Your room must be clean at all times, your bedspread must be thoroughly washed and clean, your night wear must also be clean to enjoy good sleep as good sleep is important for good health.
Food hygiene; this is another aspect that will determine your growth and body build up, this is why you shouldn't just snack on any and everything you see, you must watch what you eat, and where you eat from.
