STRANDED PASSENGERS: STUDENTS ALLEGED ABANDONED BY OSARIEMEN MOTOR DRIVER ON WARRI–EKPOMA ROUTE

This morning, a disturbing video surfaced showing a driver with Osariemen Motor abandoning students traveling from Warri to Ekpoma in the middle of the road, leaving them stranded in an isolated location.

The incident has sparked outrage, with concerns raised over the safety and well-being of the affected students, especially given the rising security challenges across the country.

Stakeholders are calling on the management of Osariemen Motor to urgently address the situation and provide clarification on why the driver acted in such an unprofessional manner. Many have described the action as highly unacceptable and dangerous.

Authorities and the transport company’s management are expected to investigate the matter and ensure that such occurrences are prevented in the future.

Man Swept Away by Erosion in Ekpoma While Attempting to Cross Flooded Area

Early today in Ekpoma, a man was swept away by heavy erosion while attempting to cross a flooded area.

Eyewitnesses reported that the victim was trying to make his way through the strong current when he was suddenly carried away. As at the time of filing this report, concerned residents and eyewitnesses were making efforts to trace his family through the identification linked to the motorcycle he left behind.
