Ndi Igbo doesn't need the President to be who they want to become - Sly Ezeokenwa (APGA National Chairman)
APGA National Chairman, Barrister Sly Ezeokenwa, has said that he is not among those strongly pushing for an Igbo president at the moment.
Speaking during an interview on Gbam, Ezeokenwa said what the South-East needs most is economic development and stronger cooperation among the five governors in the region.
According to him, the governors of the South-East should focus on coming together to discuss the economic future of the Igbo people and work on plans that will improve the lives of residents in the region.
He stressed that the life of an individual in kastina state is not betterof the life of someone in Anambra State meanwhile kastina has produced a President while Anambra has not. So Ndi Igbo doesn't need the President to be who they want to become.
"It is fine if the President comes but Ndi Igbo must focus on building their economy first." He said
Ezeokenwa noted that a united economic agenda among the five South-East states would bring greater benefits to Ndi Igbo, to the extent that Nigeria as a country, will be begging Ndi Igbo to come and lead the country.
