BATCH-A STREAM-2 CORP MEMBERS ARRIVE IKWERRE LGA.

The Administrator of Ikwerre Local Government, Mr. Isaiah Christian Njobuawu (ACA, ACTI), has officially received 110 Batch-A, Stream-2 members of the National Youth Service Corps at his office in Isiokpo.

The corps members were presented by the Director of Education, Christiana Briggs, while the Local Government Inspector, Roseline Nwabueze, expressed gratitude to the Administrator for his warm reception and assured that the corps members would diligently serve the people of Ikwerre.

In his remarks, Mr. Njobuawu congratulated the corps members on their successful posting and urged them to contribute positively to the development of the Local Government Area.

He further encouraged them to share the knowledge and skills they have acquired by teaching and impacting the lives of Ikwerre people in their various places of primary assignment.

The Head of Local Government Administration, Mr. Edeh Simeon, gave the vote of thanks, while corps member Uma Blessing delivered closing remarks on behalf of her colleagues.

The streets of Ikwerre are wearing a new look!

In the ongoing war against illegal street trading and environmental uncleanliness, major roads across Ikwerre Local Government Area have received a remarkable facelift.

The Administrator, Mr. Isaiah Christian Njobuawu (ACA, ACTI), has taken a hands-on approach—personally supervising the clearing of dirty lawns and medians along the Port Harcourt Airport Road and enforcing order by tackling illegal street trading head-on.

📢 KEEPING IKWERRE CLEAN AND SAFE!

The Administrator of Ikwerre Local Government, Mr. Isaiah Christian Njobuawu (ACA, ACTI), has intensified efforts in the fight against illegal street trading and environmental uncleanliness across the LGA.

In a hands-on approach, Mr. Njobuawu led the clearing of weeds and grasses along the median of the PHC Airport–Obiri Ikwerre Road. He was joined by the Council Secretary Mr. Amadi Godknows, Chief Security Officer Mr. Dickson Ngbumahum, the Principal Secretary Elder Bright Agbovu and other dedicated council staff.

While on-site, he cautioned traders against the dangers of illegal street trading, especially along highways, stressing the importance of maintaining a clean and healthy environment for all.

**KELGA SOLAD HOSTS CSS ALUU CLASS OF 1996**

The Sole Administrator of Ikwerre Local Government, Mr. Isaiah Christian Njobuawu (ACA, ACTI), warmly received members of the Community Secondary School, Aluu (Class of 1996) at the Council Secretariat in Isiokpo.

The delegation, led by Barr. Raymond Ogunka, came on a congratulatory visit to celebrate one of their own, who now leads the affairs of Ikwerre LGA. Also among the visiting alumni were Kelga’s Legal Adviser, Kposorochi Wobodo Esq., and Chief of Staff, Barr. Okachi Ordu — both proud members of the same class.

In a brief but colourful ceremony, Mr. Njobuawu was decorated with the group’s commemorative sash and honoured with an award in recognition of his leadership and achievements.

KELGA SOLAD & RVSG RE-VISIT UBIMA GENERAL HOSPITAL

As part of ongoing efforts to revive long-abandoned secondary health facilities in Ikwerre Local Government Area, the Sole Administrator, Mr. Isaiah Christian Njobuawu (ACA, ACTI), in company of the Chief Medical Director of the Rivers State Hospitals Management Board, Dr. Bright Ogbonda, has paid a follow-up visit to the Ubima General Hospital.

During the inspection, Mr. Njobuawu reaffirmed the council's commitment to preparing the facility for renovation. He noted that the surrounding grasses have been cleared to allow full access for renovation work and the eventual resumption of medical services to the community.

Also speaking, the CMD, Dr. Bright Ogbonda, commended the Administrator’s efforts in revitalizing health facilities in the area. He passionately appealed to the people of Ubima not to allow past setbacks to repeat themselves, assuring them of the state government's readiness to restore the hospital to full operation.

In response, community representatives including Chief Richard Didia, Youth Leader Obinna Esionwu, and Women Leader Blessing Enyinda expressed gratitude to the Administrator and his team. They welcomed the initiative and pledged the community’s full support.

The visit ended with a joint tour of the hospital premises, as the delegation assessed the current state of the facility in preparation for the anticipated rehabilitation.

The Obio/Akpor District Society of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), led by their Chairman, Chioma Ojukwu (FCA), paid a congratulatory visit to one of their own — the Sole Administrator of Ikwerre Local Government, Mr. Isaiah Christian Njobuawu (ACA, ACTI) — at the Council Secretariat, Isiokpo.

The visit, filled with warmth and camaraderie, was in recognition of Mr. Njobuawu’s appointment and achievements so far in office. After a brief meeting, the visibly excited Administrator took the ICAN team on a guided tour of the Council Secretariat, sharing moments and creating lasting memories.

Also present at the meeting was the Councils Legal Adviser Kposorochi Wobodo Esq, the Councils Secretary Mr. Amadi Godknows and the Director of works Engr. Preye Briggs-Charles.

On behalf of the group Mrs Chioma Ojukwu (FCA), made some presentations to the Administrator Mr Isaiah Njobuawu (ACA, ACTI) to solidify the collaboration.

The Rivers State Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project (RAAMP) team, led by Project Coordinator Mr. Joshua Kpakol, paid a significant sensitization visit to Ikwerre Local Government Area.

RAAMP—an initiative of the Federal Government with support from the World Bank and French Development Agency, alongside counterpart funding from federal and state governments—is focused on improving access roads and enhancing agricultural marketing systems across participating states.

In Ikwerre, the team was warmly received at the Council Secretariat in Isiokpo by the Administrator, Mr. Isaiah Christian Njobuawu (ACA, ACTI), alongside traditional chiefs, elders, women, youths, farmers, and traders.

This project aims to boost food security by strengthening the institutional and financial framework for sustainable agricultural development in Nigeria.

Ikwerre Administrator Celebrates Father's Day at St. Peters Military Church Elele, Kelga.

In commemoration of this year’s Father’s Day, the Administrator of Ikwerre Local Government Area, Mr. Isaiah Christian Njobuawu (ACA, ACTI), joined the Protestant community at St. Peter's Military Church, Elele Barracks, for a special celebration.

Accompanied by the Council Secretary, Mr. Amadi Godknows, the Council’s Legal Adviser, Kposorochi Wobodo (Esq), and other members of the management team, Mr. Njobuawu joined worshippers in honoring the role of fathers in society.

Addressing the congregation, the Administrator described how emotionally difficult it was to leave his family on such a special day but noted the importance of identifying with the military and their sacrifices.

In his remarks, the Commander of the 5 Battalion, Lt. Col. Gbenga Fashona, expressed gratitude to the Administrator for finding time to attend the service despite his busy schedule.

Delivering the vote of thanks, the Chaplain of St. Peter’s Church, Captain (Rev.) Amos Koriyol, represented by his assistant, Warrant Officer (Rev.) Emmanuel Fada, appreciated the Administrator’s presence and offered prayers for him and his delegation.

Later that day, the Administrator proceeded to the Council Secretariat where he inspected ongoing repairs of vandalized electricity lines—an effort aimed at restoring stable power supply to the premises.
