Indeed, she is the doyenne of fashion designers in Africa. While there are many talented individuals in the industry, her unique approach sets her apart. Observing her, it's clear that she's someone who generously supports her friends without hesitation. Her 30th birthday celebration, which I attended yesterday, was a testament to her influence, attracting a impressive array of guests. It's evident that her kindness and efforts to promote others, including Nollywood producers' movies and businesses, as well as emerging fashion designers like our own Ghanaian designer, have earned her widespread respect. She's the first African designer to boldly showcase her work, which some might misconstrue as boastful, but her success speaks for itself. This remarkable lady is putting Nigerian fashion on the map, and I hope Ghanaian designers will follow suit by confidently promoting their work, though I must admit, I'm only familiar with one local designer.
