Today was f@ inting competition in my ward🤔. One nurse and a student Doc fainted on my watch today.

Neither of them had breakfast.
Note to all my healthcare folks:
You’re not a superhero. You’re a human with a stomach.
🥪 Eat. 💧 Hydrate. 🧘♀️ Sit down when you need to.
Both moments were big reminder that in healthcare, we sometimes forget to take care of ourselves while we are so busy taking care of everyone else
Health care can be intense, but fainting on the job shouldn't be part of the deal, Let's stop glorifying burnout and start normalizing basic self-care not just for our patients but for ourselves too
Collapsing mid-shift doesn’t earn you extra credit. 😂
