Every student has made this promise at least once:
"Today, no matter what happens, I will not sleep in class." 😂
Then the lecturer walks in, drops his bag, opens the textbook, adjusts his glasses, and says, "Everyone, open page 173."
At that moment, the battle begins.
Five minutes later, you're still strong. Ten minutes later, you're blinking every two seconds. Thirty minutes later, you're fighting for your life. Before you know it, your head is doing that slow nod, and the next thing you hear is your course mate whispering, "Guy, wake up!" 😂
I had one lecturer like that. He would come into class, sit down comfortably, open his textbook, and read it almost word for word for two or three hours. No stories, no jokes, no interaction just reading. At some point, the classroom would become so quiet that you could almost hear everyone trying to stay awake. Some people would be staring at the board without seeing anything, while others had already traveled to dreamland.
The funniest part? After everyone had struggled through the lecture, he would suddenly stop and say, "Everybody wake up! Quiz!" 😂
At that point, you would realize you had been physically present in class but mentally absent for the last hour.
Be honest... what's the longest lecture you've ever survived without sleeping? And if you've ever been caught sleeping in class,
tell us what happened! 😂👇
