🚧 Project Update: Smart Dehydrator Control System (Under Construction)
This project involves the redesign and upgrade of a conventional dehydrator control system into a Bluetooth-enabled smart switching system.
🔧 Problem Identified:
The original mechanical power switch repeatedly failed due to thermal stress, arcing, and high current load from the heating element, leading to frequent burnout.
⚙️ Proposed Solution:
Implementation of a microcontroller-based control system integrating:
Relay-driven contactor switching
Bluetooth communication interface
External control via mobile device
Thermal protection using thermostat and thermal cutoff
📡 System Operation:
The heating element is now controlled through a contactor, triggered by a relay interfaced with a microcontroller. Commands are sent via a Bluetooth terminal application, enabling remote ON/OFF control.
🌡️ Thermal Management:
Primary temperature regulation via mechanical thermostat
Secondary safety protection via thermal cutoff switch
Prevents overheating and enhances system reliability
🔌 Key Advantage:
Eliminates direct load stress on manual switches, improving durability, safety, and user convenience.
🛠️ Still in progress… final integration and testing ongoing.
