Last year, I was rushing through Murtala Muhammed Airport, Lagos, barely slept, dehydrated, and glued to my phone. My smartwatch buzzed: "Heart rate elevated." I ignored it. Again. Until I fainted at the boarding gate.

Turns out, tech isn’t just for selfies and scrolling—it’s a mirror to your body’s whispers. That day taught me something powerful: your health sends signals, and tech can help you listen.

Now, I hydrate before flights, stretch during layovers, and actually check my health metrics. Travel doesn’t have to wreck your wellness. It can teach you to protect it.

She was just 12 years old and was a girl on the roadside weeping uncontrollably.

Hey beautiful what is your name, and why are you under this harsh weather crying?

Lost in pain with tears soaking her clothes, she never realized someone was standing before her.

When I tried consoling her was when I realized she was going through excruciating pain, and that was when I repeated my question. What is your name and why are you here all alone crying?

My name is Nnenna, she said in a calm tone. She muted for a while then continued, I lost her, I lost her, and am not going to see her again she burst into tears again.

Then I asked her, who did you lose that was when she raised her head looking into my face with tears rolling down her chick, she replied I lost my mother.

I hold my breath for some seconds trying to find the right consolation word to tell her because I know the pain of losing a loved one. Nnenna I'm sorry about your loss there's no amount of words from me that is enough to heal your pain.

She interrupted, my mother was not sick she was healthy that Saturday afternoon she complained of stomach pain, and the next thing she started throwing up blood with the help of neighbors she was rushed to the hospital.

Where the doctor confirmed she was poisoned and after a while, she gave up the ghost. who did my mother offend, who could have done this to us she continues crying.

Stop crying I know it hurts badly but crying won't bring her back you need to be strong for your siblings, I pray God heals you and fill the gap her death created in your heart we're my words to her.

Indeed death is inevitable. But when cutting a tree that bears fruit consider the birds that feed from it.

If times you feel you want to cry
And life seems such a trial
Above the clouds, there's a bright blue sky,
So make your tear smile.

As you travel in life way
With its many ups and downs
Remember it's quite true to say
One smile is worth a dozen frowns.

Among the world's expensive things
A smile is very cheap.
And when you give a smile away
You get one back to keep.

Happiness comes at times to all
But sadness comes unbidden
And sometimes a few tears must fall
Among the laughter hidden.

So when friends have sadness on their face
And troubles around them pile,
The world will seem a better place
And all because you smile.

A smile is quite a funny thing it wrinkles up your face, and when it's gone you will never find its secret hiding place. The world will be better if you 😁.

Accept your uniqueness.

To understand that the standard of supposed beauty
Is all a social construct
You should never put yourself in jeopardy to reconstruct a part of your body that doesn’t necessarily need reconstruction.

That you get to be whole
And see in the mirror that you are beauty all along
That you are enough in all standard.
