We are in the Last Bus!
Every year Martin's parents took him to his grandmother to spend the summer holidays, and they returned home on the same train the next day.
One day the boy told his parents: "I'm big now, can I go to my grandmother's house alone?"
After a short discussion, the parents accepted.
They are standing waiting for the departure of the train, they say goodbye to their son giving him some tips out the window, while Martin repeated to them:
"I know ! I've been told that over a thousand times."
The train is about to leave and his father murmured in his ears:
"Son, if you feel bad or insecure, this is for you!". And he put something in his pocket.
Now Martin is alone sitting on the train just as he wanted, without his parents for the first time.
He admires the landscape through the window, around him some strangers jostle each other, they make a lot of noise. They get in and out of the train.
The supervisor makes some comments about him being alone.
One person looked at him with sad eyes. Martin now feels bad every minute that passes, and now he is afraid. He bows his head...
He feels cornered and alone, with tears in the eyes.
Then he remembers that his dad put something in his pocket.
Trembling, he looks for what his father gave him. Finding the piece of paper he reads it, on it is written:
"Son, I'm in the last car!"
This is life, we must let our children go, we must trust them. But we always have to be in the last car, watching, in case they are afraid or in case they find obstacles and don't know what to do.
We have to be close to them
as long as we're still alive. The son will always need his parents.
Forever in the last car.❤
