‼️Barcelona tried talking to Chelsea to understand if there was a way [to sign Joâo Pedro].

My understanding is that the answer from Chelsea since date zero of this story has always been Joâo Pedro is not leaving.

So Chelsea are not playing the game to get more money. It's not about 100m, 200m, or maybe including players, because Barcelona were also open to include players in the deal.

But for Chelsea, that's not the case. For Chelsea, Joâo Pedro is a crucial part of the project.

I don't think Manchester City will dominate the Premier League any time soon after Pep. I think we are back to the era of anyone can win.

In my opinion, Pep made a mistake of dumping what had served him well. He panicked, switched it up and never recovered.

The moment he shifted from technical, hard working footballers he used sign to dominate possession, press high and create a lot of chances, to less technical physical bullies, he lost it.

He used to dominate physical teams with xavi, Iniesta, Aguero, Silva, Villa, Pedro, Messi, etc, small technical players but they pressed so intense out of possession.

Old Pep bought and sold Ibrahimovic. He wouldn't have worked with Haaland. He made that change to sacrifice high pressing for the goals. Old Pep wouldn't sign Donnarumma and weakened his buildup or Semenyo just to add goals from the winger, despite not technically built for small space possession football.

He completely lost his DNA. I wouldn't say he ran out of ideas and started doing things he normally wouldn't do. I think he felt Arsenal as a physical force and tried to match them. He started making these changes as Arsenal started gathering momentum.

But he's not good at dark, ugly, physical football. Even if he keeps trying to go the Arteta route, he will keep finding it hard. He needed to go back to what he's good at, which is building a team like PSG. Unfortunately, it's over but it's good for the Premier League. It's a wide open league again.

Teams are beginning to figure out Arsenal’s corner-kick routines, so I wouldn't say they will dominate the league. It's anybody's league next season.

If Chelsea do the right things, they could take advantage. It won't be that difficult to win the Premier League next season. It could be a 75-80 points League.

I didn't really want Jackson back, however…here's why I potentially would right now. I think it's clear we will not be buying a new ST this summer, and Delap has been a car crash. We also have Emegha coming in, and if we retain Joao Pedro, there's no room.

I would swap Delap for Jackson on that basis. I feel Chelsea will prioritise defence, the midfield and potentially another winger.

I feel Cole Palmer is getting a bit undermined nowadays. It feels like some Chelsea fans are willing to let him leave. I keep seeing, "He can leave if he wants."

This guy still has world-class potential. He hasn't even fully physically developed.

He burst to that level in his first two seasons, but it was obvious he didn't climb to it gradually, so it's difficult to sustain.

Also, it's not out of place for a young player to have one or two off seasons. I believe that injuries have contributed to his recent form. He is clearly lacking confidence.

But I expect all that to change under Alonso. If he can get him up and running like he did for Wirtz after that ACL, and create the same free role for Palmer, we could see him back to his best.

The guy deserves the benefit of the doubt.

‼️ In terms of Chelsea desire, as of today, it's a very high wall around Joâo Pedro. It's been a tough season for Chelsea, and to let Joâo Pedro go at this stage of the project with a new ambitious coach like Xabi Alonso seems something really, really complicated.

So, at the moment, Chelsea have absolutely no intention to discuss, and it's not about 90 million, 100 million, 120 It's not about numbers. Chelsea won't restart their project with a top coach like Xabi Alonso, and with top players like Joâo Pedro, Cole Palmers, and others

What f*cked our season are instability and fatigue, but I will say mostly instability because if Maresca didn't walk, he would've managed it better because he already knew the squad and they understood his football.

Yeah, he walked and every crumbled. The funny part is that almost 70% of this fanbase or more wanted him gone at that point if they will say the truth.

They would call you all sorts of names if you dare to tell them why we shouldn't sack Maresca.

I'm saying this because, we are a very reactive fanbase. Zero patience for anything. Even if you are Pep Guardiola, if you lose two games, they are coming for your head. We need to change that mentality.

Xabi Alonso will come in now and they will expect perfection, instant win every weekend. It's not gonna be like that. That's why I like not having Europe for his sake.

The start won't be smooth, he needs to have quality time to get his messages across and fix issues. Our fanbase don't understand the dictionary meaning of context.
