Once upon a time, while living with my ex-narcissist husband, I was pregnant with my second child. That day, I had prepared to attend a crusade at a Catholic Church nearby with my elder sister. I waited patiently for him to return so I could inform him before leaving.

I didn’t have airtime to call—back then, I was a full-time housewife without even 1 naira of my own. My life was fully dependent on him. When he returned, I told him about my plans. To my surprise, he refused. I tried to explain that I had done everything—food was ready, his bathwater was waiting. But before I could even finish my words, his rage erupted.

That night, as a pregnant woman, I was punched in the head and stomach. He beat me mercilessly, without a thought for the life growing inside me, without a shred of humanity. 💔😭

Abuse doesn’t just hurt the body—it crushes the spirit, it silences dreams, and it cages the soul.

👉 My question to you is: Why do so many people still believe enduring abuse is “normal” in marriages?

Some of you may be wondering why I post so many uplifting videos. As a survivor, I attribute my existence today to divine intervention. Having endured situations where 'I love you' seemed devoid of meaning, where I was led to believe I had no right to express dissatisfaction due to being deemed insignificant, and having suffered physical abuse for articulating my thoughts, I felt trapped, manipulated, and dehumanized.

I encourage and advise you to appreciate those who have supported you, who demonstrate 'I love you' through tangible actions, making their love undeniable. Love is beautiful 😍, and it should be embraced.
