HUNGARIAN, PORTUGUESE SCOUTS, PAY RANGERS BOSS A COURTESY VISIT.
The corporate Office of Rangers International Football Club buzzed with activities as Hungarian and Portuguese scouts led by a FIFA licensed agent Mr. Philip Mbah paid a courtesy visit to the CEO/GM of Rangers International Football Club, Barr. Amobi Ezeaku.
The FIFA master welcomed the visitors and thanked them for the visit. He went on to express his heartfelt gratitude to the Governor of the State,Dr. Peter Ndubuidi Mbah for his indefatigable support to the club and dedication to all round sports development in the state.
He went on to highlight the progress the club has made under his administration as the General Manager of the Club which includes; better welfare of players and staff of the club, upgrade of facilities at the club, founding the Rangers International Women Football Club and a functional football academy for grooming young talents.
He called all for the collaboration of individuals and corporate entities to help the club attain new heights.
"We are keen to achieve more results,Rangers has produced a lot of legends in the past, Taribo West and Jay Jay Okocha played for our club in the 90s and we are currently raising generational talents. We are open to collaborations and partnerships that will benefit both the club and other parties involved. If these young players grow, the state also grows."
The clarion call of Barr. Amobi Ezeaku was buttressed by the Chairman of Rangers Foundation, a senior police officer and a prominent sports administrator Ebere Amarizu as well as the Secretary General of Nkanu West Local Government Area Prince Onochie Igwesi.
Mr. Philip Mbah while speaking on behalf of the scouting team expressed his gratitude to the General Manager of Rangers International Football Club for providing a conducive environment for the success of the scouting programme.
" I was sceptical about coming to Enugu but Barr. Amobi gave me his word, he promised to provide a conducive environment for the scouting programme and I am really satisfied with what I saw. I look forward to organising my next scouting programme here in Enugu."
Also present in the meeting was Chris Chukwuebuka Nevo, a US based Chemical Engineer and the host of the 2025/56 Ugwuaji Awkunanaw Unity Cup. He lauded the General Manager's achievements and promised his unwavering support to the club.
The visit was capped up with a tour around the Rangers corporate office and a presentation of the club's jerseys to the scouts.
