Former Minister of State for Mines and Steel Development, Uche Ogah, has pledged support for President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

Ogah assured his commitment to Tinubu’s re-election campaign ahead of 2027 general elections.

Speaking in Umuahia on Saturday, the former minister told members of All Progressive Congress in Abia State that the President should not stress himself for second term election.

Ogah noted that victory would be delivered to him by the Renewed Hope Partners.

He said: “My brother and friend, we have always worked together and here today, I have come to join forces with you to see that Renewed Hope Partners is a success in Abia State.

“We will do everything within our capacity, everything within the corridors of the people we work with, everything within our communities using all the social capitals that we have to see that this renewed hope partnership is a success.

MohBad Was Brought In Dead, Didn't Die In Our Facility, Lagos Hospital Releases Statement

Perez Medcare Hospital, where singer Ilerioluwa Aloba aka MohBad was allegedly taken to, has released a statement concerning the singer's death.

In the statement shared on its Instagram page on Monday night, the hospital stated that the singer was brought in dead at the hospital.

The hospital also debunked rumours that the singer was admitted into the hospital.

The statement partly read, "The attention of the management of Perez Medcare Hospital has been drawn to the misleading and false information being circulated in some social media platforms that Mr. Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba (AKA Mohbad) died in our medical facility.

"We consider it pertinent to put on record that at about 04:30pm on the 12th of September 2023, the lifeless body of Mr. Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba (AKA Mohbad) was brought to our medical facility and our medical team immediately sprang into action and after assessment, it was discovered that there was no sign of life, no central or peripheral pulse, no heartbeat, no recordable vital signs and his pupils were fixed and dilated.

"On attempting CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), rigor mortis (stiffening of some parts of the body in relation to death) was observed and the persons who brought him to our facility were informed that it was a case of BID (Brought in dead).

"Upon enquiry about the circumstances leading to the emergency, our team was informed that the deceased was being treated at home by a nurse and that she administered injections on him.

"Our team thereafter advised that the body be taken to the nearest Government Hospital where he can be deposited in the morgue.

"Let it be known that Mr. Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba (AKA Mohbad) was not a patient of Perez Medcare Hospital and was never admitted at our hospital at any material time whatsoever.

"Also, the nurse who was said to be administering treatment on him at home is not a staff of Perez Medcare Hospital and the video of the medical facility circulating In the media space in which the late Mr. Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba (AKA Mohbad) is seen alive and receiving treatment is not Perez Medcare Hospital."

Late Nigerian musician, Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as MohBad, “he did not know that the harvest would come, and that he would soon be cut down at the prime of youth,” Tunde Bakare has stated.

According to the Independent, Pastor Bakare, stated this while preaching in Leicester, United Kingdom at a church event on Sunday, September 24, adding that the late MohBad was associating with “evil” people while he was alive.

While speaking on the theme, ‘Harvest’, Bakare, the running mate of Muhammadu Buhari in the 2011 presidential election said;

“My wife and I listened to a tape last night on MohBad. How many of you know MohBad? The Nigerian artiste who di£d at 27? MohBad.

When he was drinking and smoking and associating with evil men, he did not know that the harvest would come so soon and that he would soon be cut down at the prime of youth." Bakare was quoted as saying by the Independent.

I am not blaming him, I am just telling you. Is MohBad a good name? Moh Bad.

There was a young man older than I am. He was a driver and his nickname was Èsù (devil). Everywhere he went, people hailed him as Èsù and he would acknowledge them.

The spokesperson of the Lagos state police command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, has said that there is no underhand dealing in the investigation being carried out into the controversial death of 27-year-old singer, Mohbad.

In a post on his X handle, Hundeyin said the autopsy carried out on Mohbad was done by some of the best forensic pathologists in the country, in the presence of family members.

''As assured by the CP, the autopsy was promptly carried out, by some of the best forensic pathologists in the country, in the presence of family members.

While we await the result, we urge everyone to remain calm and confident in the process. There is absolutely no underhand dealing, as feared by some concerned persons.

In the meantime, other aspects of the investigation are progressing well. '' Hundeyin said

Police officer caught on tape assaulting man in Rivers state arrested

The Nigerian Police Force has arrested a police officer seen in a viral video assaulting an unidentified man in Port Harcourt, Rivers state, with two of his colleagues.

Over the weekend, the video showing one of the police officers flogging the man along the Port Harcourt East-West Road, Emouha Junction, went viral.

The Force Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi while reacting to the viral video, condemned the action of the officer.

In an update shared on his handle on Monday evening, April 10, Adejobi said the officers involved in the act have been arrested and they will be transferred to the force headquarters today.

“These men have been arrested, and their commander will personally bring to the Force Headquarters tomorrow Tuesday(today) for further actions. They are 3 in number, attached to RRS, Rivers State. Their action does not portray the police in a good light at all.

It is still to buttress my point that whatever a policeman does is personal, not systemic. I wonder how a man, a reasonable man, would be flogging or slapping a grown-up man in that manner. So barbaric and unpolice.''

Bayo Onanuga who is one of the Media aides to President-elect, Bola Tinubu, has trolled the Presidential candidate of Labour party in the last election for referring to Afenifere leader, Pa Adebanjo, as Daddy.

Obi had taken to social media to celebrate Pa Adebanjo on his 95th birthday on Monday, April 10.

In his congratulatory message, Obi referred to Adebanjo as ‘’Daddy.'' Recall that Obi trended a few weeks ago when a purported telephone conversation of him and the senior pastor of Winners Chapel, Bishop David Oyedepo went viral. Obi was mocked on social media for referring to the clergyman as ‘’Daddy''. He however denied the accusations.

Reacting to Obi's congratulatory message, Onanuga wrote

APC expels ex-aide of President Muhammadu Buhari

Ita Enang, a former special adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari has been expelled by the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Akwa Ibom state for alleged “anti-party activities”.

The state working committee of the APC led by Stephen Ntukekpo, chairman of the party, ratified the ward’s recommendations expelling him in a letter dated January 24.

This followed recommendations from Enang's ward, Eastern Ward 2 in Ibiono Ibom LGA of the state.

The letter read;

“The anti-party activities among others include his indulgence with the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Akwa Ibom State, and his willful but unlawful disobedience of the directives of our great party, the APC.

“After a free and fair gubernatorial primary election conducted by the party which he lost without showing a good spirit of sportsmanship, Senator Ita Solomon Enang had engaged in endless litigation against the candidate who won and the party.

“In the process, fully doing the bidding of the PDP to put a clog in the wheel of our progress as a party. The clandestine meetings he holds with the opposition party, the PDP, and after such meetings, drumming support for them, are not without notice by his vigilant ward and chapter officers of our great party.

“Consequently, I write on behalf of the state working committee (SWC) to ratify the decision of the disciplinary committee of the All Progressives Congress; that, Senator Ita Solomon Enang, be and is hereby expelled from the All Progressives Congress.”
