Getting a job as a nursing mother can be very difficult... story time 😊

While I was still pregnant, as time went on, I got tired of sitting at home. You know, as a newly married woman who had just relocated to another state to join her husband, my husband and I were still making plans and arrangements about what I could do.

Starting a business as a pregnant woman wasn't exactly the best idea at the time, my makeup and beauty skills were there too,but my condition gave it so many limitations and as for getting a job, we kept making enquiries and looking for opportunities.

Don't get me wrong, I wasn't lacking anything. As far as the general needs of the home and my personal needs were concerned, my husband was there to provide. But no oo 😌 I was already tired of sitting at home every single day.

I would constantly nag my husband, telling him, "I just want to have my own source of income, no matter how little."

Then one day, I walked past a school and saw a notice on their board saying they were looking for a teacher.

Normally, I don't like teaching. In fact, I dislike it to the core 😔 But at that point, I was desperate. So the next day, I took my CV there. They collected it, and I went home to sleep.

They never called me oo. 😂

And honestly, the only reason I could think of was that they saw I was heavily pregnant, coupled with the fact that there was a difference in our tribes. So I just relaxed and hoped another opportunity would come.

Content creation wasn't even on my mind then. I was pregnant, and my husband and I weren't comfortable with me showing myself online, so I was just there.

Press my phone. Get tired. Sleep. Eat. Wake up. Repeat.

Boredom nearly kpaid me! 😭😂

You needed to see the joy on my face every evening when my husband returned from work. 😁

If you've always been the type who likes to hustle and make your own money, you will understand the frustration that comes with sitting at home and doing nothing.

Then fast-forward to when I finally gave birth. I had my baby in January, and by February, I started my content creation journey.

You needed to see the energy I had back then! 😊Not now that my AI content doesn't even give me breathing space anymore.

But do you know what?

My job hunt still didn't stop.

My baby was barely three months old when I took her along with me to a job interview...

I’ll be back. 🚶😉

But before then, if you are a nursing mother, and you find yourself in this kind of situation, you should already know where this story is heading. 👀

Am I the only person seeing this video differently?

This content is just a good example of “give them something to talk about.” 😂

What I see is a transition from before making the hair to a few weeks after, when the hair has gone old. 😂 ゚viralシ

Who would ever think that the jovial and easygoing Angela Nwosu grew up with such childhood trauma?

This is what they mean when they say, “You think you know someone until you get very close to them.”

I see people asking if the woman is truly her biological mother. I can say she is, because I personally witnessed a mother grind fresh pepper and put it in her daughter’s eyes, simply because the girl left the house after she had been warned not to go anywhere. The whole compound gathered that evening because of what happened.

And sadly, it always seems to be the girl child.

The funny part is that when you ask these mothers why they are so h@rsh, their reasons hardly go beyond,

“I’m only protecting her from boys. I don’t want her to get pregnant.”

Who am I to judge Angela’s mother? But no, that was really mean. Some childhood traumas can only take the grace of God to heal from.

I pray that one day, Angela finds a place in her heart to forgive her.

Training a girl child can be very demanding, but I believe it can still be done with love, guidance and affection.

Discipline should not have to destroy a child emotionally.

May God help us mothers.

The Easiest Way to Start Content Creation

Experience, they say, is the best teacher.

Nobody is coming to take your phone from you and start directing you on what to post or how to post it. The basic thing is, do you know how to make a post?

Whether it is pictures or videos, once you know the right buttons to click, then you are good to go.

The reason you don't know how to start may be because you are looking at the big content creators and thinking you have to be like them from day one.

You lack confidence because you are scared of making mistakes. Maybe you are shy or afraid of what people will say.

But if you don't take these things off your mind, you may never start.

If you lack confidence that much, start with picture content.

Take a picture of yourself, write something simple about it and post.

Your write-up could be about how you woke up that morning, how your day went, something that happened to you, or even a simple question that will get people talking.

You see that broken plate in your house? Take a picture of it and tell us how it broke.

Was it you? Your child? Or did it just fall on its own? 😂

Then end the post with something that will encourage people to comment.

Tell us a funny story from your childhood and ask, "Who else experienced this while growing up?"

If you are comfortable sharing your family online, then you already have content.

If you are pregnant and comfortable sharing your journey, take us along. The morning sickness, the cravings, your hospital visits, the excitement, the stress, and everything that comes with the journey.

Content plenty!

The problem you might be having is that you are making content creation look too big.

You hear "content creation" and start thinking:

"What should I post?"

"What if nobody likes it?"

"What if I make a mistake?"

"What will people say?"

Please, stop. 🥺

Everything around you is content.

Your everyday life is content. Your past experiences are content. Things that happen around you can become content.

Watch videos of what other people are doing. If you see something you like, set up your camera, recreate it in your own way and post it.

You can also come up with your own ideas.

Stop procrastinating and just start already.

Even if all you can post is:

"Good morning everyone, how was your night?"

Write it and post it.

You will learn as you go, and that learning is part of the growth that comes with content creation.

And most importantly, engage on other people's pages, especially smaller creators. Leave genuine comments, support their content and interact with them. Some of them will return the favor, and that is one of the ways you can grow.

Stop thinking about it as something so big.

Creating content is not that difficult.

You just need to start. ❤️

When you scroll through your phone, you’ll notice that a lot of the women you see creating content are mothers...especially women who are still at the stage of having children

And honestly, it makes sense.

As a woman who is still having children, getting a job can sometimes be difficult. You could walk into an interview pregnant, nursing a baby, or with a little child at home, and after the interview, you already know the famous line:

“We’ll get back to you.” 😅

And even when you eventually get the job, keeping it can come with another set of expenses. You may need to pay for a house help, put your baby in daycare, or constantly worry about who will take care of your children while you’re at work.

But content creation?

Content creation has changed this narrative for many mothers today.

You can sit in the comfort of your home, take care of your children, and still build something that brings you money.

So if you’re a woman who has been waiting and hoping to secure a job, or you’ve been planning to start a business but you don’t have enough capital yet, I want you to consider starting with what you already have.

You can start something while you wait.

And who knows? You might grow so much in content creation that one day, you’ll realize you no longer have to keep looking for that job.

You could even make enough from your content to eventually fund the business you’ve always wanted to start.

And the beautiful thing?

You already have the most important tool you need to begin...a smartphone.

You don’t need to have everything figured out before you start. Open that page. Pick something you can talk about. Start posting. Learn as you go.

If the only thing stopping you is “I don’t even know how to start,” then come.

I’ll show you the direction.

Because sometimes, you’re not actually stuck...you just need someone to show you where to start. ❤️

Content creation has changed the lives of so many women who once thought they had to leave the house before they could make something meaningful for themselves.

Some started with nothing more than a smartphone.

No studio.
No expensive camera.
No fancy equipment.
Sometimes, not even a perfect space to record.

They simply started.

And today, some of these women(count me number 1) are making money from their content, building communities, learning new skills, getting opportunities and, most importantly, having something that belongs to them.

Being a stay-at-home mom doesn't mean your dreams have to stay at home with you.

Your children can need you, your home can need you, and you can still build something for yourself in the little time you have.

And before you say, “I don't have the equipment,” let me ask you something…

You have a smartphone, right?

So what's stopping you from creating content with it?

Is it fear?
Is it the thought that nobody will watch?
Are you waiting for the perfect phone?
Do you feel like you don't know what to post?

Whatever it is, don't let it keep you stuck forever.

You don't need to have everything figured out before you start. Sometimes, you start first and figure things out along the way.

So, stay-at-home mom, if you have a smartphone in your hand right now…

What's really stopping you from creating content? 👀

Tell me in the comments. Let's talk. ❤️
