I hardly take pain relieving drugs, even if I want to, it's once or twice in a month, not that I don't engage in stressful work, but because I believe that having enough rest through sleep is a natural pain medicine, and that excessive intake of those drugs might cost my kidney, liver, stomach and overall health overtime!
Do you want to know how drugs like Ibuprofen, naproxen, diclofenac, celecoxib and aspirin may affect your health?
Let's have it...
The above drugs belong to a drug class known as Non steroidal anti inflammatory drugs–NSAIDs in brief. They are specially designed to arrest pains primarily caused by inflammation, they work by stopping the action of cycloxygenase enzyme that produces a chemical called prostaglandin which causes pain in the body.
What kills you in one way may save you in another way!
Prostaglandins which cause pains in the body also help to protect your stomach, and as well support your kidney function–that is why one can easily develop ulcer or kidney failure after a prolong use of pain reliving drugs.
Do you know that ibuprofen, diclofenac, naproxen, aspirin,in fact, all NSAIDs do the same work of pain relieving?
Why then do you go to chemist and ask them to mix up all the drugs for you?
Do you want to buy more sickness with your money?
We're used to this mixing of drugs with the myth that swallowing enough quantity of tablets or capsules into the stomach will fasten our recovery, but in reality,it may land us into more complicated health problems.
Next time you have pains in any part of your body, don't mix drugs, ask the medicine dealer to give you just a single pain reliever, diclofenac or any other one, and you don't need to take it for too long,if pains persist after two or three tablets, try to see a doctor.
If you keep mixing hundreds of drugs for pains, malaria or any other health challenge, don't forget you're killing yourself slowly without knowing.
Drug is drug and not food!
Hope this helps!
