THE LAST SEAT IN 3B
EPISODE 1
“The Boy Who Wouldn’t Stand Up”
The first day of the new term at St. Gabriel’s College was always noisy, but this term felt different.
Students filled the corridors, shouting, laughing, dragging boxes, greeting friends they hadn’t seen for weeks.
But in Senior Secondary 2, Class B (3B), something unusual happened. There were 41 students on the register… but only 40 desks in the classroom.
And one seat, right at the back corner, was always empty.
No one sat there. Not because it was broken. But because of what happened last term.
“Don’t sit there,” whispered Tunde as a new student walked in.
“Why?” the boy asked, dropping his bag.
Tunde hesitated.
Before he could answer, the class prefect, Amaka, quickly interrupted.
“Just sit anywhere else. That seat is… reserved.”
“Reserved for who?” the new boy insisted.
Silence fell.
Even the class bully, Kola, avoided eye contact.
Then suddenly, the classroom door creaked open on its own, slowly.
Everyone turned.
But no one was there.
The new boy frowned. “Is the door broken?”
Amaka forced a smile. “Just wind.”
But Tunde’s hands were shaking under his desk.
Because last term… the boy who sat in that last seat, never finished the term.
And no one in 3B was willing to say what really happened.
Not even the teachers.
Just then, the chalkboard fell off the wall with a loud crash.
And written on the wall behind it were three words: "I NEVER LEFT.” The class erupted in panic.
But what shocked everyone most was Tunde’s reaction, He didn’t run.
He just whispered: “…it has started again.” ------
Who wrote the message?
What really happened to the missing student?
And why is Tunde acting like he already knows?
Stay tuned🤔
