GENERAL FASHION TIPS FOR NIGERIAN WOMEN

Nigerian fashion is vibrant, diverse, and full of cultural pride and brilliance.
Here are some general practical and stylish fashion tips for us Nigerian ladies:

1. Use bold, colourful patterns that reflect your personality by embracing African prints such as Ankara, Akwete, A*o Oke, Adire, etc. Yes, learn to mix these traditional prints with modern cuts (e.g., peplum tops, jumpsuits, bumbshorts, etc).

2. Tailor-Made clothing is a game changer. Customize your outfits to flatter your body type, shape, and complexion.

3. Invest in statement accessories such as headwraps (gele or turban), chunky neck pieces, bangles, tiny/bold belts, shoes/sandals/slippers, beads, bangles, watches, eye glasses and statement earrings. Remember not to overdo it. Rather, let one piece stand out.

4. Balance bold colours by pairing them with neutral pieces. Avoid clashing colours unless you’re intentionally colour-blocking.

5. Finally, confidence is key. You need to own that look because it's your look. Yes, rock is with all manner of pride and elegance.

Note: What matters most is not what you wear or how expensive it costs, but HOW you wear it.
