"Even a thief wouldn't want to give birth to a child who follows in their footsteps. Imagine a thief scolding their own son for stealing a classmate's lunchbox. The classmate caught him and reported him to the teacher, who demanded that the child bring their parents to school. When the parents arrived, after the teacher reported what their child had done, the mother burst into tears. Meanwhile, the father defended his son, attributing his behavior to 'youthful exuberance' that he would outgrow, rather than disciplining him. The mother, overcome with emotion, lamented that her son had inherited his character from his father, not realizing the implications of her words. The father shot her an angry glance, and eyewitnesses asked the woman to clarify what she meant. She hastily explained that she was referring to his late grandfather, who had been a thief before he passed away.
The essence of this story is: Are you proud of your character, and would you want your children to emulate it?"
