Actor and content creator Victor Udochukwu Nwaogu, popularly known as Nkubi, has spoken about the discrimination he faced because of his physique.
In a podcast interview, Nkubi said he turned to acting after struggling to get jobs due to his size. He explained that he only fully understood his situation after finishing secondary school, when he couldn’t get small jobs like other young people.
According to him, as a child, he knew he was different but did not fully understand why. The reality became clear when he was repeatedly rejected from jobs.
Nkubi and his wife also shared that they still feel pain from the constant and unprovoked bullying they experience.
His wife revealed that a doctor once advised her to get pregnant by another man to avoid having a child with dwarfism, but she strongly refused.
