*MEASURE OF A MAN*
- LEADERSHIP

Leadership has nothing to do with your age, your size, your title, or the letters after your name.
Leadership is attitude. Leadership is discipline. Leadership is sacrifice.
Here is the standard. Read it and measure yourself:
1. _A leader serves._ If you can not serve without seeking a reward, you are not yet a leader.
2. _A leader endures fire._ If criticism breaks you and hate speech silences you, you are not yet a leader.
3. _A leader forgives._ If you can not forgive and forget, you are not yet a leader.
4. _A leader gives in secret._ If you stop doing good because no one applauded, you are not yet a leader.
5. _A leader speaks_. If you watch your people walk into error and say nothing because they did not ask, you are not yet a leader.
6. _A leader builds._ Do you suffer from Pull Him Down (Phd) Syndrome? When others rise higher than you, do you push them up or pull them down?
7. _A leader celebrates strength._ A real leader never prays for the downfall of those who surpass him.
8. _A leader opens doors._ If you lock doors because you fear your people will outgrow you, you are not yet a leader.
9. _A leader multiplies._ If you are the only champion and have raised no successor, you are not a good leader. Every true leader bears sons and daughters greater than himself.
10. _A leader grows._ Feed on knowledge. Refuse to be stagnant. Advance personally, spiritually, emotionally, professionally, mentally, relationally, and educationally — so your life makes impact.
11. _A leader is a ladder._ Your job is to lift others up to the top. Not to step on them. Your ambition should be to make your followers better than you.
12. _A leader is humble._ Let them learn from your scars. Do not watch them stumble in darkness when you carry light.
13. _A leader is compassionate,_ How can you sleep in comfort while your people eat poverty?
14. _A leader is a father_. He secures his house. He provides sacrificially. He does not use his people for personal agenda.
15. _A leader is a mother_. When the child is sick, the mother moves heaven and earth. Why do you act blind when your followers are suffering?
16. _A leader keeps his soul_. "Do not let evil men make you wicked. You will be hated for doing right. Do right anyway.
17. _A leader guards the land_. Do not let sin take root because it profits you. Do what is right for conscience sake, and let the consequences follow.
18. _A leader is just_. No favoritism. No partiality. The world is starving for honest, forthright leaders who judge with equity.
19. _A leader is a voice_. Stand for the voiceless without fear or favor. Treat the rich and the poor with the same love and the same standard. Do you have that heart?
20. _Now hear this:_ This is not for “leaders over there.” This is for YOU. You reading this now — you are a leader in your sphere.
21. You say, “I am just a follower.” That is a lie. You may be in training, but you are already leading someone.
22. _A leader intercedes_. Do you lift your people to God with a sincere heart? Start there. Start at home.
Charity begins at home. So does leadership.
Wherever you are placed to watch over others — be a good leader.
Don’t just be a leader. Be a great one. Don’t be selfish. Don’t be greedy. Don’t cheat.
Your people are watching you.
Leadership is a sacred trust.
_Do not misuse it. Do not abuse it._
Use it to lift, to heal, to build, and to leave the place better than you found it.
_The question is not “Are you a leader?”_
_The question is “What kind of leader are you?”_
