Did she overreact?

I came across a video on this space where a supposed bride called off her wedding on her wedding day because the grooms family/friends was the one picking the money that was sprayed on them.
According to her, the money is supposed to be picked by her own family and not otherwise hence she called off the wedding.

So now I ask, money sprayed to couples on their wedding day is it supposed to be for the bride's family or the groom?

Do you think her action is justified?
