Today, we celebrate Saint Catherine Labouré, the humble Daughter of Charity chosen by Our Lady to reveal the Miraculous Medal to the world. In 1830, the Blessed Virgin appeared to her in the convent chapel in Paris, entrusting her with a mission of grace and devotion. Through her quiet obedience and deep faith, countless souls have been blessed by Mary’s intercession.
Saint Catherine lived a hidden life of service and prayer, unknown to most until her death
yet her legacy shines brightly through every Miraculous Medal worn in faith.
Saint Catherine Labouré, pray for us, that we may walk in humility and trust in Our Lady’s protection.

Saint Gregory Thaumaturgus, known as Gregory the Wonderworker, was born around 213 AD in Neocaesarea, Pontus. Originally raised a pagan, he encountered the great theologian Origen in Alexandria, whose teaching led him to embrace Christianity with his whole heart. Gregory later became bishop of his native city, where his extraordinary faith and holiness brought countless conversions.

Miracles surrounded his ministry: mountains moved to make way for churches, rivers were redirected by his prayer, and the sick were healed through his intercession. When he first took charge, there were only seventeen Christians in Neocaesarea—but by the time of his death around 270 AD, only seventeen pagans remained.

His life stands as a radiant witness to the power of divine grace working through faith and humility. Saint Gregory Thaumaturgus is celebrated as a model of steadfast belief and a true worker of wonders for God’s glory.

Saint Elizabeth of Hungary was a princess renowned for her compassion, humility, and deep devotion to God. Though born into royal privilege, she chose a life of charity over luxury. After the death of her husband, Louis IV of Thuringia, Elizabeth dedicated herself entirely to serving the poor and sick. She built hospitals and personally tended to the needy, seeing in each person the face of Christ. Her most famous miracle, the “Miracle of the Roses,” recalls how bread she was carrying to the poor miraculously turned into roses when questioned by her husband’s attendants. Despite dying at only 24, her holiness and works of mercy left an enduring legacy, making her a patroness of the poor and of Catholic charities.

Saint Gertrude the Great, a German Benedictine mystic and theologian, was one of the greatest visionaries of the Middle Ages. From childhood, she was known for her brilliant mind and love of study, yet her heart longed for something more profound — divine intimacy. At twenty-five, Christ appeared to her, transforming her life into one of deep mystical union. Her writings, especially The Herald of Divine Love, reveal her extraordinary visions of the Sacred Heart and her tender devotion to Christ’s mercy. She offered her prayers for all souls, especially the suffering in Purgatory. Known for her humility, wisdom, and ardent love, Saint Gertrude’s feast celebrates her as a messenger of God’s boundless compassion and love for humanity.

Feast of the North American Martyrs and Saint Paul of the Cross 🎉😇🙏
Today we honor two great lights of faith — the North American Martyrs and Saint Paul of the Cross.
The martyrs shed their blood for the Gospel in new lands, while Saint Paul of the Cross preached the saving love found in Christ’s Passion.
Different missions, one love — the love of the Cross.

Feast of Saint Luke the Evangelist
October 18🎉😇🙏
Saint Luke, a physician and companion of Saint Paul, is the author of the Gospel of Luke and the Acts of the Apostles. Through his writings, we see the mercy of Christ, His compassion for the poor, and the beauty of the Virgin Mary’s faith.

Luke’s Gospel reveals the tenderness of God — the Good Samaritan, the Prodigal Son, and the love that seeks the lost. Tradition holds that he was also an artist who painted the first icon of Our Lady.

May Saint Luke inspire us to share the Gospel with love, mercy, and faithfulness.

Saint Luke the Evangelist, pray for us.

Today we honor Saint Teresa of Ávila, a woman of deep prayer and divine wisdom.
She reminds us that true peace is found within — in the soul united with God.
“Let nothing disturb you, let nothing frighten you; God alone suffices.”
Saint Teresa of Ávila, pray for us.
