Earlier today, I received the Comptroller of the Nigeria Immigration Service, Lagos State Command, Comptroller Olofinbiyi Christopher, during a courtesy and familiarization visit to the Council Secretariat. He was accompanied by other senior officers of the Service.

In his remarks, Comptroller Olofinbiyi stressed the need for stronger collaboration between the Nigeria Immigration Service and Epe Local Government to enhance enforcement of immigration laws, strengthen internal security operations, and improve the management of travel documents and residence permits. He noted that sustained surveillance has helped curb illegal immigration within the division and respectfully requested support in areas such as office space, accommodation, and other operational logistics.

Having warmly welcomed the delegation and commended the Comptroller’s professionalism, strategic leadership, and commendable track record, I assured the team of our administration’s support through provision of office accommodation, collaboration, and grassroots sensitization initiatives to promote community security and tranquility.

The meeting was attended by key officers of the Nigeria Immigration Service and principal officials of Epe Local Government, including the Leader of the Legislative Arm, Hon. Taofeek Araba; Mrs Sofoluwe, The Council Manager; Hon. Oluwo Rasheed, the Majority Leader; Hon. Tunde Fuad Odupe, the Chief of Staff to the Executive Chairman, and among other management staff.

The visit further reinforces the partnership between Epe Local Government and federal security agencies in fostering a safer and more secure environment across the division.

With great joy and renewed optimism, I warmly welcome our pupils, students, teachers, parents, guardians, and all education stakeholders to the second term of the 2025/2026 academic session across Epe Local Government.

A new term represents a fresh beginning, new possibilities, and another opportunity to build brighter futures for our children. I deeply appreciate our hardworking teachers for their passion, resilience, and unwavering dedication, as well as our supportive parents and guardians whose partnership continues to strengthen the foundation of quality education in Epe.

As schools reopen, I call on everyone to rededicate themselves to creating a learning environment that inspires excellence, discipline, creativity, and strong moral values. Together, we must ensure that our schools remain safe, inclusive, and nurturing spaces where every child is encouraged to dream big and succeed.

To our gallant teachers, your role in shaping the minds and character of tomorrow’s leaders cannot be overstated. Your daily sacrifices do not go unnoticed, and I urge you to continue giving your best with pride and professionalism.

*Security Boost for Epe as Hon. Princess Surah O. Animashaun, FHTI, Donates Two Patrol Vehicles to Tactical Team, Epe Command*

In a powerful show of proactiveness and decisive leadership, the Executive Chairman of Epe Local Government, Hon. (Princess) Surah Olayemi Animashaun, FHTI, accompanied by the Vice Chairman, Hon. Sikiru Adeniyi Owolomoshe, presented two brand-new patrol vehicles to the Special Squad Tactical Team, Epe Command, further strengthening security operations across the local government.

Speaking at the presentation, Hon. Princess Surah Animashaun emphasized that security remains the heartbeat of her administration, stressing that Epe must remain a place where residents, businesses, and visitors feel safe and protected at all times. She described the donation as a clear demonstration of support and partnership with security agencies working round the clock to keep the community peaceful.

Receiving the vehicles, the Commander of the Tactical Team, CSP Nosa Igbineweka, expressed deep appreciation to the Chairman and the Vice Chairman for the timely and strategic intervention. He noted that the vehicles will significantly boost patrol coverage, response time, and operational efficiency, assuring residents of the Tactical Team’s continued commitment to peace, law, and order.

The initiative further underscores the Chairman’s proactive leadership and strong collaboration with security agencies, reinforcing Epe Local Government’s resolve to remain a safe, peaceful, and secure community.
