The noble family and movement of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) led by Mazi Nnamdi Kanu hails the election of Barr. Uche Okwukwu as Ohaneze Ndigbo President General. We equally call on the Ohaneze Ndigbo, the Governors and Ohaneze IMEOBI not to subvert the clear choice of the people or subject it to usual selfish political interests.

Not content with entrenching and directly benefiting from the insecurity ravaging parts of Igboland, South-East governors have once again demonstrated their utter disdain and disrespect of the wishes of the majority of Igbos worldwide by engaging in activities clearly designed to sabotage the progress of our race at this critucal juncture in our history. If the reports making the rounds are confirmed that these governors, led by Hope Uzodinma has openly rejected the legitimate and popular choice of the people in the person of Barr. Uche Okwukwu then that chaos their masters have for long been seeking to infuse into the socio-cultural and political framework of Igboland would have materialised. By their antecedents over the insecurity decimating our land, to the shameless betrayal of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, these men are determined to reduce the Igbo race to a state of socio-cultural insignificance and political irrrlevance in our time. These stooges of our oppressors, planted in our midst through a criminalised and flawed political and electoral process would fast forward the destruction and utter humiliation of our great race.

These governors have no regard nor respect for our ancient value systems that recognise the supremacy of the opinion of the majority of the people in all affairs of state. To this effect therefore, the emergence of Barr. Uche Okwukwu or any other person validly elected by the people must be defended to the hilt.

The governors of the South-East are only 5 in number, whereas the great Igbo race is nearly 90 million people all over the world. Five individuals cannot be allowed to destroy our collective heritage. The position of Ohaneze President General is not a political appointment reserved for these 5 governors at this point in time but rather a responsibility Ndigbo have entrusted to the clans in Rivers State. They have spoken and their choice is clear that Barr. Uche Okwukwu is the duly elected Ohaneze Ndigbo Worldwide President General. As of today Barr. Uche Okwukwu is the leader of Ndigbo in the whole world. It is the duty of every right thinking Igbo man and woman, at home and in the diaspora, to rally round the popular choice of the people at this trying time because political vultures are circling once again to devour what their politically motivated insecurity could not finish off.

These governors have overstepped the boundary of decency and have gone a step too far in their shameful effort to impose yet another politician on the people. If these governors fail to retrace their steps, IPOB will openly align with our religious leaders in deploying all of its might to ensure that none of them will ever be reelected nor occupy any position of influence in our land ever again.

Vox populi vox Deu. The voice of the people is the voice of God. And our people in Rivers State have spoken resoundingly that Barr. Uche Okwukwu is their choice to lead the apex Igbo organisation in the world. No Jupiter will overturn that.

Finland Freezes Simon Ekpa’s Assets, Places Him In Kylmäkoski 'Ranked As One Of World's Toughest Prisons'

The Finnish government also froze the assets of companies associated with Ekpa and four of his accomplices, who are also in remand.

The authorities in Finland have frozen the assets of Simon Ekpa, the self-acclaimed Biafran agitator facing allegations of terrorism-related activities, who has been detained for several weeks.

Yle, a local newspaper in a report, stated these, adding that Ekpa is being held in the Kylmäkoski vankila, (Kylmäkoski prison), which is reputed to be one of the world’s toughest prisons.

Mikko Laaksonen, Senior Detective Superintendent at the Finland's National Bureau of Investigation, had noted this, adding that the country’s legal system does not permit bail.

Menawhile, the Kylmäkoski prison, which is a high security prison is in Vanhamaantie, Akaa, Finland.

The Head of International Communications of Yle, Mika Ojamies, in response to enquiries from PUNCH, also confirmed that the suspect was in the prison.

The Kylmäkoski vankila was built in 1993 for male prisoners.

SaharaReporters had reported that Ekpa, self-styled "Prime Minister" of the Biafra Republic Government-in-Exile, was arrested about four weeks ago alongside four others on suspicion of terrorism-related offences, including incitement to violence and financing terrorism.

The Finnish authorities had alleged that Ekpa utilised the social media to incite violence in Nigeria's South-East region, targeting civilians and government officials.

According to local media outlet Yle, Ekpa has been remanded on charges of public incitement to commit crimes with terrorist intent.

The prison facility, where Ekpa is currently held, is known for accommodating people who have committed serious crimes, including violent suspects and s*x offenders, is the largest closed-unit facility in Finland.

IPOB Head Of Directorates Maintains IPOB Has No Faction Nor Any Political Wing Outside It

The Head of IPOB Directorate Of States, Mazi Chika Edoziem in response and further clarification to the rumored establishment of a pseudo political wing of the IPOB movement, has maintained that IPOB has no faction nor will it participate in the internal political system in Nigeria which he described as being discredited and has been programmed from time immemorial to suppress and subjugate the Biafran community forever

In a statement made by the IPOB HOD in the organization official X handle, (realIpob_DOS), Mazi Edoziem clarified that those parading themselves as IPOB political wing vying for political participation in the Nigerian system are charlatans who are bereft of history and do not fully understand the intricacies of what the Biafra freedom movement portends. Stating unequivocally that the IPOB movement has no plans of participating in the Nigerian political system as that would imply the desecration of the purity the incoming Biafra nation exudes.

He asserted that instead, the IPOB movement will in the fullness of time unveil the proposition of the original Biafra political system which would be totally holistic and parallel to the political systems of existing nations of the world. Assuring that the IPOB Directorate Of States will ensure that a sovereign Biafran nation will never be a replication of the discredited Nigerian political system.

Recall that few weeks ago, Nigeria online media/magazine platform, The Independent reported about the existence and creation of a psuedo group dubbed IPOB Political Wing, whose spokesperson Mr Emereonye (identity and credibility uncertain) claimed was willing to draw concepts and participate in the Nigerian political system.

However, The IPOB media and publicity secretary, Emma Powerful in a public press statement refuted and denounced the move, calling them 'faceless creation' of the Nigerian Intelligence Services whose aim has been to balkanize and create factions in the IPOB movement either through impersonation or infiltration. The statement urged the general public to ignore the announcement as it did emanate from the IPOB movement or its leadership.

*It has come to the attention of the Directorate of State of the Indigenous People of Biafra about certain charlatans claiming that IPOB has formed a political wing that will essentially participate in the discredited Nigerian political system. These charlatans seem not to have learnt from history. For the avoidance of doubt, the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has not formed and will not form a political wing with the view to getting involved in a system that has been programmed ab initio to suppress and subjugate our people for ever.

Those strutting around forming political wings and governments do not really understand the fullcrom of what the Biafra freedom movement is all about. A Sovereign Biafran Nation will never be a replication of a discredited Nigerian political system, and the DOS will never do anything to jeopardise the purity of a new Biafran Nation. As a matter of fact, our political system in Biafra will be ORIGINAL and not a copy of the world's political systems as we know them. Our will be unveiled at the appropriate time. For the DOS, timing is key to our actions and this will remain so going forward.

IPOB DISASSOCIATES FROM THE SCAM, SHAMBOLIC, AND CHARADE CALLED BIAFRA DECLARATION IN FINLAND

The Noble family and movement of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) led by the great and indomitable leader, Mazi Nnamdi Okwuchukwu Kanu wishes to disassociate ourselves from the purported Biafra second declaration by an infamous no-name group. The so-called declaration is a scam. There is no room for another Biafra declaration besides the one our eternal leader, Dim Odimegwu Ojukwu, declared in 1967.

IPOB wishes to commend responsible media organizations and social media bloggers in Nigeria and in diaspora that didn't give attention to the mockery of the Biafra struggle by infiltrators in Finland and elsewhere. However, it is imperative to inform the international community, Biafrans, friends of Biafra, and lovers of Biafra freedom that Biafra has been declared by our eternal leader late Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu in 1967. What IPOB is doing is to restore the sovereignty of the declared Biafra Independence that was forced to surrender through genocide by the Nigerian and British governments. IPOB is calling for a UN supervised referendum for Biafrans so that the declared sovereignty can be *restored*. Biafra can not be declared for the second time by anyone. It is sad that some unscrupulous elements who failed in the mission to infiltrate and destroy IPOB went into the jamboree they claimed was Biafra's second declaration outside the Biafra territory. Biafrans and IPOB, in particular, are happy that the funfare the infiltrators had in Finland this weekend was ignored by all responsible media organizations. Those involved in the event in Finland were among the sponsors of insecurity in the South East Region. Their agenda is to desabilize the South East, divide the people, and divert the attention of Biafrans and those sympathetic to the Biafra struggle by making the genuine Biafra struggle unattractive to our people. They failed woefully.

In the past, the leader of IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, was pressured by the enemies within and without to declare Biafra the second time, but he refused. Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is a brilliant freedom fighter who understands the seasons and times and the rules governing self-determination. When those enemies within and without failed to push Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB into untimely and unnecessary Biafra declaration, they joined a Nigerian government agent brought from Finland to destroy the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB. They had already celebrated their foolishness, which they called Biafra declaration in Finland last weekend. IPOB is an informed movement championing the restoration of Biafra sovereignty and freedom and can not involve herself in self-deception and scamming people with the Biafra project. All those involved in the illusion and self-deception, called Biafra declaration in Finland, are criminals, uninformed, and fake agents.

Only fools rush where the angels dread to enter. Biafra struggle is a thing of the spirit because blood has been shed and sacrificed for this ultimate project. Any person, nation, or group of people who dare to obstruct the Biafra restoration will pay a heavy price. The Autopilot criminals making money from some of their ignorant followers to make international mockery of the Biafra struggle will all pay a price. IPOB will not come after them, but the blood of the fallen heroes of Biafra will chase and hunt them down. Therefore, Biafrans, friends of Biafra and lovers of Biafra freedom, must understand that the shambolic declaration of Biafra Independence in the far away land of Finland is a scam. Those who have funded infiltrators that gathered for a picnic in Finland have been scammed. Now that the infiltrators and agent of provocateurs have declared their independence in Finland, we hope they will enjoy their freedom and stop interfering with IPOB's peaceful struggle end engagement for the restoration of Biafra Nation.

Again, we reiterate that our eternal leader, Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, declared Biafra Independence in Biafra Land in 1967. He and other Biafran men and women fought gallantly in an unprepared genocidal war to defend the declared territory of Biafra for three (3) years. General Dim Ojukwu had the support and backing of Ndigbo, Biafrans in general and Biafra Consultative Forum to declare for Biafra Independence in that period. Heaven declared Biafra once, though short-lived, on the strength of that declaration is where IPOB stands to demand for a UN supervised Referendum for Biafrans to decide their political future. Therefore, the idiocy exhibited by a group of niconpoos in Finland recently in the name of Biafra declaration is trash. It was a welcome development that they were ignored by the media and public because they did not exist. This press release is to keep the record straight and to disassociate IPOB and Mazi Nnamdi Kanu from the idiocy exhibited in Finland called Biafra second declaration. The Finland Biafra declaration is pure scam by some agent provocateurs.
