"Imam Hussain (AS) wrote to the rest of his family, stating that whoever followed him amongst his family would be martyred, and whoever refused would not achieve the grand victory. The question here is, what is that grand victory? It is martyrdom, indeed. If not for the sacrifice of Imam Hussain (AS), for instance, if the Imam had followed the ruler, following a ruler would have been established as the norm, and the religion (Islam) would have been no more. Whenever someone objected to wrongdoings, people would query him, "Are you better than Hussain? What was his final stand? He followed the ruler. Hence, you should also follow the rulers." However, when Imam Hussain (AS) was left with the alternative to either follow the ruler or give up his life, the Imam opted to give up his life rather than follow the ruler."

The Leader Sends Condolences To Martyrs Families

بِسْمِ اللَّـهِ الرَّحْمَـٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ

ولا تقولوا لمن يقتل في سبيل الله أموات بل أحياء ولكن لا تشعرون

The Leader Sheikh Ibrahileem Zakzaky (H) condole the families of the five brothers:

1. Haidar Ishaq
2. Mustafa Aliyu
3. Ibrahim Rabiu
4. Mahmoud Umar
5. Ahmad Mustafa

Who were murdered by Nigerian security forces yesterday during the 1445/2024 Quds day procession to show support for the Palestinian people in Kaduna and Zariya. May Allah accept their martyrdom and give their families the fortitude to bear the losses. May Allah give us the strength to endure this adversity as we always do.

The leader also wishes those who sustained various degrees of injuries speedy recovery.

A cross section of Muslims marked the 2024 International procession in various cities & towns across Nigeria.

The procession proceeded smoothly except in Kaduna and Zaria, where the Nigerian Police attacked the procession, resulting in the martyrdom of 4 and injuries to many.

“Our commitment to standing in solidarity with oppressed Palestine is a religious obligation ingrained in our faith. As Imam Ali (AS) taught, "Stand with the oppressed and against the oppressor." The Prophet Muhammad (S) emphasized the importance of actively working for the betterment of the Muslim community, stating: "He who begins his day without endeavoring for the betterment of Muslims’ affairs, is no Muslim." He also likened the Muslim Ummah to a single body, where any suffering affects the whole. Thus, remaining indifferent to injustice signifies a disconnect from the community. Our concern extends beyond Muslims, as it is our religious duty to aid the oppressed and oppose oppression in all forms.”

“Nowadays, you can see those in authority think that they can kill and burn the bodies (of people) or take them to an unknown destination and bury them in mass grave. The Zaria Massacre which happens six years ago is a case in question, where in the pace of three days the Nigerian army cordoned the city of Zaria, including all the routes leading to the city, murdered over one thousand people and took all their bodies and bury them in different mass graves. On top of this, they arrested about five hundred people for “alleged murder” of one soldier. Of course, all the courts have discharged and acquitted all those they have arraigned before them.

“See how those in authority want to wipe out even the evidence about this atrocity they have committed. This was the first step this administration took, and you can see subsequently how wanton killing become the order of the day; now people are living in perpetual fear everywhere (in the country). You can not murder others, and expect yourself to stay in peace, they have already murdered peace”.

“To reiterate it, one of the virtues that Allah ascribed to Sayyida Zahra (S) is creating her as an infallible. She is a lady with unique qualities; and one of them is denying anyone the chance to marry her except an infallible being like her. It is even said that if not Allah had created Ali (as), Sayyida Zahra wouldn’t have been able get a husband. No one’s status equates her own. It’s only Ali (as) that fits her (as a husband), not any other person else.”

WE ARE LIVING IN THE ERA OF HOPE

“We are (living) in the era of hope. And this is evident from the indications we are witnessing; for we are advancing, which greatly signifies hope (for humanity). We pray for Allah to grant us resolved minds and include us among the helpers of the patron of age (AF) during the time of his occultation as well as reappearance by the will of Allah.”

“Had it been our enemies are sane people, they would have known that what they did to us with the intention of exterminating us ended up promulgating the cause. We had cautioned them earlier that they had the intention of attacking us and if they should attack us, it will only promulgate the cause. Killings and demolitions can never eliminate us. It will only strengthen us. Now, even if they are asked if they have annihilated the Islamic Movement, their response would be ‘not at all”.

“We have been entangled because our enemies have planned against us and they are executing it. And there are ignoramuses that are willing to work for them, so far as they will be given something. That’s the problem we are facing. So, when we say it’s a foreign agenda (exported to us from outside). Then they ask who is doing it. Have you ever seen an expatriate executing it? The killings are being carried out by yourselves. This person kills another and another person kills the other but it’s being designed by the whites. Who has ever care to ask where the guns are coming from? Who has ever asked the whereabout of their trainer? You know it’s some people’s plan. It should be known that this is a plan against us.”

“We are created by a divine being, and that (divine being who created us) is He who created the earth and the heaven. He placed us on this earth for a purpose, and (the purpose) is that we should live according to His commandments- this is the meaning of being a vicegerent (khalifa).

“We are not the owners of the earth, as those who rebel think (that they are the owners of earth). We are people who completely surrendered to Allah (SWT), and so are ever willing to dutifully respond to and obey his every commandments. And He (the creator) has already sent a messenger (pbuh) with a message, and (the messenger) has done his job- has delivered the message; (the message) is with us, and it remains for us to put it into practice”.

“If not for the sake of fooling us, that there are some people called Boko Haram and they want to establish an Islamic government and fight the government of this country, but they don’t have any target to attack besides markets. They go and launch attacks on (innocent) people while buying and selling of commodities. Then mosques while prayers are going on, then churches, then motor parks and hamlets. So, for Allah’s sake, is it what who is fighting the government supposed to do? Why won’t they go to the presidential villa to fight them? What’s their business with the poor in the market? And because they want to ridicule Islam, they insist they are Islamic fundamentalists”.

“We always say the Islamic movement is not the name of an organization, it is an idea, and whoever is making a move toward the restoration of Islamic glory on earth is part of the Islamic movement.

“What we mean by restoration of Islamic glory is; once upon a time Islam controlled the whole world: East and West, the South and North; then it so happen that a destructive power came from the West, conquered the Muslim world and divided it into nation-states, all patterned under the western idea; and Islamic control become history. But one day Inshaa Allah this same glory will be restored (and it’s what the Islamic movement is all about)”.
