The Hon. Minister of Solid minerals Development Federal Republic of Nigeria has appointed Rt. Hon. Zakari Angulu Dobi as the Chairman Mineral Resources and Environment Management Committee (FCT ABUJA).
The appointment of Rt. Hon. Zakari Angulu Dobi as the FCT MIREMCO Chairman is by the Minister of solid Mineral development on behalf of the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

MIREMCO is established in each State of the Federation by the Federal Government by section 19 of the Nigerian Minerals and Mining Act 2007, with the Minister of Solid Minerals saddled with the overseeing responsibility.

The appointment of Hon. Zakari Angulu Dobi follows his nomination by the FCT Minister Barr. Nyesome Wike.

His appointment takes effect from Monday April 8th, 2025, is for a period of three years, is in line with the operational guidelines for the mineral resources and environmental management committee 2017.
