“Till Death Do Us Part” — A True Love Story
❤️💔

©️ Demilade Adesola Layade

They met like a spark in dry grass — instant, intense, unforgettable. She was laughter in human form, and he was her calm in chaos. Everyone could see it — this wasn’t just love, it was destiny.

But love doesn’t come without storms.

Not long into their relationship, she was diagnosed with a rare illness. The doctors gave timelines. Friends gave sympathy. Some told him to walk away — to spare himself the pain.

But he stayed.

He stayed through the hospital visits, the sleepless nights, the sudden scares. He learned how to read her pain through her eyes, how to hide his tears behind a smile just to keep her spirits high. He loved her fiercely, not just on good days, but especially on the worst ones.

And when the time came — when her breath slowed and her grip weakened — he was there, whispering, "You’ll always be mine… even if heaven needed you more."

He kissed her forehead, and held her hand till it turned cold.

That day, she left the world.
But his love stayed.

That… is the true meaning of "Till Death Do Us Part."
Not just vows at the altar… but choosing to stay, choosing to love, even when life hurts most.

What's your take from this story. Is the Pastor right, greedy or selfish..

A member of a church underwent an operation, and his medical bill was N245,000. He couldn't afford it.

His brother went to their pastor on Sunday and told him to assist. The pastor picked up the microphone and told the church that a brother was in need of N245,000 to settle his medical bill.

Members began to donate.

After donations, what was realized was N760,000.

At the end of the church service, the pastor handed over the sum of N245,000 to the man for his sick brother, and deposited the balance in the church account.

The sick person's family members are unhappy. They're of the opinion that members raised that money for their brother and not for the church; so the church has no right to withhold any amount given to their brother.

The pastor is saying that they asked for N245k and he has given it to them; so whatever is left belongs to the church.

What is your view on this?

The former impeached deputy governor of Edo State,, Phillip Shaibu has been ordered to be reinstated by the court.

The Court presided over by Hon. Justice James Omotosho held that the removal of the plaintiff, Shaibu, from office as Deputy Governor of Edo State and the subsequent appointment of Omobayo Godwins as his replacement by the Governor of Edo State were illegal, unconstitutional, null and void.

Will The Family Allow Mohbad to Rest In Peace? .:
The disunity between the late singer's parent has been like that of a rat and mouse. Both chasing endless shadows. Building reputation not good enough for the late singer and his supposed son.

Mohbad's father still believes he can get justice for his late son, whom he believes, was killed. His mother on the other hand, is holding forth to the late singer's family. Since from all what has transpired over time, there are more financial gains coming, since she was not in the picture of his son's growing up, but came back into his life, when the father's efforts started yielding fruits.

The controversy rounding the paternity of the late singer's son is another issue being contested by his father, as he keeps saying, " My son was doubting the paternity of his son, Liam, before he d!ed"

Meanwhile, the mother claimed he is not the late singer's father. This makes the issue of a paternity test, unreliable.

Mohbad was bless and from all indications, from the role the mother has played, can be said to be unfortunate at the same time.

It's almost a year he passed, on, obviously his mother and father can not come to terms as the way forward. Netizens are advising they let him rest and free his soul from all these front & back rumbles

TikTok Mockery of Scholars: The Bigger Picture Behind the Laughs
By Wadzani Dauda Palnam, PhD
12/07/2025

Habeeb Hamzat (born 10 May 2005), known professionally as Peller. This is not written to condemn you, but to clarify what your viral moment truly revealed.

You offered a ₦500,000 camera job and said applicants must have a Master’s degree.
They showed up.
You filmed them.
Then you edited the footage and turned their presence into performance.
The internet laughed. You trended.
But the joke did not expose the scholars.
It exposed a cultural sickness and perhaps a quiet insecurity masked as confidence.

You didn’t need scholars for a job.
You needed them for content.

You used the dignity of their degrees to lift the illusion of your own relevance.
But success that depends on someone else’s shame is not success.
It is insecurity with a spotlight.

You filmed scholars who wanted work, using tools invented by people who once sat through lectures, took exams, earned degrees, and chose to build.

The platform that made you trend, TikTok, was founded by Zhang Yiming, a Chinese software engineer who graduated from Nankai University in 2005 with a degree in software engineering.

The algorithms that gave you views were built by developers trained in Python, C++, machine learning, and data architecture.
The camera you held was designed by engineers who studied optics and system integration.
The monetisation you enjoy is powered by business models drafted by analysts with deep backgrounds in economics, policy, and communication systems.

You mocked the scholar.
But you owe your visibility to the very minds you mocked.

To the scholars who stood in line that day, you did not lose.

You came with courage. You came to work. You came in faith.
And you left with your honour intact.

You were not props. You were people.
And history will remember who stood with dignity when the crowd was laughing.

To the custodians of education in Nigeria, the silence is becoming permission.

When scholars are mocked and no institution speaks, you give the impression that dignity is negotiable.
Education cannot be a national pillar on paper and a national punchline in practice.

If universities will not defend those they trained, who will?

What you tolerate today is what your students will believe tomorrow.

And to students like Andrew, those studying in dim rooms, those waking early to walk to class, those sitting in crowded lecture halls with flickering lights, let this not discourage you.

You are not wasting your time. You are laying a foundation.
Your effort is not invisible. It is simply not trending yet.

“A fool takes no pleasure in understanding, but only in expressing his opinion.” — Proverbs 18:2

Education was never just about getting a job. It was about capacity.
The ability to build systems. To challenge ignorance. To offer solutions.
You don’t need to trend to be relevant. And relevance that requires someone else’s humiliation will never last.

What A Life: *On the 19th of January, 2022, Godwin Ikoiwak drove from Uyo to Ikono after being summoned by his in-laws for a meeting.*

He never returned.

Godwin Ikoiwak was a top promising and brilliant prosecuting counsel at the Ministry of Justice in Akwa Ibom State. He was married to Abasieseabanga, also a lawyer and a staff of the Court of Appeal in Calabar. They got married in 2017 and had 2 children.

Trouble started when Godwin started becoming suspicious of Abasieseabanga’s fidelity and decided to carry out investigations.

What he discovered were shocking to say the least.

He discovered that she was allegedly having an affair with her former employer.

Most shocking was the fact that as a teen, his wife had lived with one Reverend Father Maurice Mbeke. Ikoiwak discovered that Father Mbeke had allegedly impregnated her at that time and she gave birth to a son. Allegedly, the boy is named after Father Mbeke’s maternal grandfather.

When they got married, she and her family connived and deceived Ikoiwak that the said son was her younger brother. The boy moved in with them after marriage, and Ikoiwak, unknown to him, was raising a child from an illicit affair with a priest! At the time of marriage, the boy was 14 years old.

In addition (according to his friend), each time his wife said she was pregnant, he did not set eyes on her until after delivery, when she would present the child and say: “This is your child.”

These discoveries, and perhaps others, motivated him to confront his wife with the allegations and demand a paternity / DNA test.

He also reported her to her family, his in-laws. (I wonder why he would do that when it was the same in-laws that concealed the fact that his wife had a child before marriage and deceived him that the said boy was her brother.)

On the 19th of January, after appearing in a matter at the Federal High Court, Uyo, he drove all the way to Ikono. His in-laws had summoned him for a meeting to discuss his grievances.

He went and never returned.

His wife called his family to inform them that their son had died from asthma complications and that he drove himself to the hospital where he died. There was even a death certificate to that effect.

He was buried in February 2022. However, his family suspected foul play and started digging. Law enforcement got involved, DSS got involved, his co**se was exhumed, arrests were made, and the discoveries were mind boggling.

First, on his co**se, they discovered a deep cut below his left eye. There were bruises on his body, and there were marks on his wrists and ankles, suggesting that he was tied up.

An autopsy was conducted, and it was discovered that he didn’t die of asthma. He was poisoned, what they call Otapiapia.

It would seem like he was tied up, beaten, and forced to ingest the Otapiapia, and they stood and watched him die a slow, painful death.

While all this was happening, his wife was in Calabar, allegedly exchanging calls with her sister, her mother, and her brother, who were in the house when Ikoiwak came.

It was his mother-in-law, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, and others who did the dirty deed.

After his wife had confirmed his death, she called Reverend Father Maurice Mbeke. Yup, the same one. In fact, investigations revealed that she and Father Mbeke had had multiple phone conversations on the 19th, the day Ikoiwak was to travel to see his in-laws.

Father Mbeke then called Reverend Father Gabriel Ekong, the Administrator of St Luke’s Hospital, to arrange a forged death certificate. Father Ekong then instructed Doctor Imoh Johnson to prepare the death certificate, stating that he treated Ikoiwak for asthma complications, but he didn’t make it.

Then Ikoiwak’s in-laws went and dropped his co**se at St. Luke’s Hospital. That’s when his wife made the call to his relatives.

---

It was last month that the Court passed sentences on all those involved in the death of Godwin Ikoiwak.

The sentences bother me, especially as I know what the law prescribes for such offences:

• Wife – Guilty of Accessory to Murder – 2 years imprisonment

• Mother-in-law – Guilty of Murder – 10 years imprisonment

• Sister-in-law – Guilty of Murder – 10 years imprisonment

• Dr. Imoh Johnson – Guilty of Falsifying Records as Accessory – 2 years imprisonment

• Father Gabriel Ekong – Guilty of Falsifying Records as Accessory – 4 years imprisonment

The Judge noted the reduced sentences were influenced by defendants being first-time offenders, advanced age (mother-in-law), and a young baby for the sister-in-law.

Interestingly, Father Maurice Mbeke was not charged at all.

Thankfully, the State has indicated it will appeal, as it should. Because honestly, I don’t even know what to say about these sentences. An appeal is the right step, and we keep our fingers crossed.

Let me know your thoughts.

Me : How many men do you think , have died like this and the women got away with it? Many ? Few ? Some ?

No the only reason you are reading about this here is because her in laws didn’t let her escape

You might be shocked the amount of men who have been unalived in Nigeria by either wives, side chicks, wives friends , girl friend friends, you name it

But because some people have the mindset of God giveth and he taketh , no one chases justice for them

Aisha Buhari, Divorce, and Forgiveness Claim

By Farooq Kperogi

People have been circulating a quote attributed to Aisha Buhari, claiming that Buhari asked her to seek forgiveness from Nigerians on his behalf.

I can’t confirm the authenticity of that claim, but what I do know is that before Buhari’s death, he and Aisha were no longer married.

They had divorced, and Aisha reverted to her maiden name, Aisha Halilu.

If you paid close attention, you would notice that Aisha didn't go to Daura when he retired to the town after leaving office. Buhari was also alone when he later relocated to Kaduna.

In fact, when he fell ill and it was suggested that Aisha travel to London to care for him, she reportedly hesitated because she was no longer his wife. She eventually went in the last few days before he died, but only after intense persuasion.

Even now, during this period of mourning, she seems understandably conflicted about her role.

So, I'm genuinely curious to know when and where Buhari told her to beg Nigerians for forgiveness. Where did she even say this?
