Yobe State Govt. Declares Tuesday 15th July 2025 A Work Free Day to Mourn Former President Muhammadu Buhari

Yobe state Governor Mai Mala Buni, has approved Tuesday 15th July 2025, a work free day to mourn former President, Muhammadu Buhari who died on Sunday in a London hospital.

Governor Buni urged workers and the people of the state to dedicate the day to pray for the repose of the soul of the late President Muhammadu Buhari.

He charged imams to make good use of the day to pray in their respective mosques for the late President and the country.

"He was a leader who has done so much to ensure return of security to Yobe state and the North East in general, he deserve this special honour from the people of the state" Governor Buni said.

Earlier, Gov. Buni, in a condolence message, described late Buhari as a great patriot who spent most of his life working for the unity and progress of Nigeria.

He said Buhari was a disciplinarian, a leader with integrity, and a leader with unlimited passion for the development of the nation.

The Governor prayed to almighty Allah to forgive his shortcomings and grant him aljannah.

Governor Buni condoled with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, the family of the late former president, Katsina state government, Daura Emirate and Nigerians in general over the huge and monumental loss.

How come there is not enough said about what Seyi Tinubu has been doing via his foundation for the years? No politician’s child has had that much impact. What’s crazy is the fact that he has been doing these things without noise even before PBAT thought of contesting for President.

How come he barely gets credit for that? Be like say na only who pay for PR una dey talk about for this social media. I came across NOELLA Foundation recently and I am blown away. Real life changing stuff. We should talk about this more for real.

Earlier this year, 20 young women from across Nigeria stepped into a new chapter of business growth through the Be Empowered 2025 initiative by the Noella Foundation.

Spearheaded by Layal Jade Tinubu, Co-Founder and Director, the program wasn’t just about giving grants — it was about building confident, capable entrepreneurs. The journey began with a live event in Lagos on April 12th, bringing together inspiring speakers and hopeful participants. That was followed by a 5-week virtual bootcamp where participants were trained on business structure, finance, sustainability, and customer experience.

Each entrepreneur received 20% of their grant early on to begin applying what they were learning. After weeks of consistent participation, they gathered again in Lagos for a final physical session — a moment to reflect, celebrate, and receive their Certificates of Completion. With that, the remaining 80% of their grants were disbursed.

The testimonials spoke volumes. Queen Ogoforo, founder of Cluckies International and a ₦10 million grant recipient, called the experience “nothing short of amazing.” A single class answered a long-standing legal question in her business and gave her the clarity to move forward.

Layal and Seyi Tinubu, the driving forces behind Noella Foundation, have always believed that when young people are supported at the right time, they go on to do extraordinary things. Be Empowered 2025 was proof of that.

The Foundation may not reach everyone at once, but those it does are now equipped to uplift others. And that’s how progress spreads.

Young Nigerians, including the 20 youths who recently got business grants ranging from 10 million naira downwards, have gained from the entrepreneurship programmes of Seyi and Layal Tinubu.

When Seyi and Layal created Noella 6 years ago, the vision was to give relief to those needing help in their times of need.

Since then, Noella has grown. It creates long-term pathways for young people to be self-sufficient for themselves, their families and the society.

Noella’s skill training programmes and scholarships have been very effective in helping young people to move to the next levels of their lives in business and in self-fulfilment.

Speaking on why he does this, Seyi had said;

“When you’re young, you need someone to believe in you. Someone who accepts that you have potential and you just need a little push to achieve it. Layal and I have always dreamed of being that support system, and giving that little push to every young Nigerian we’re able to reach.”

Seyi Tinubu agrees it’s a lot of work for him as an individual, but that does not stop him from marching on with it.

He may not be able to touch every youth out there, but those he has touched will be able to, in turn, empower others around them, and this is how society makes progress.

Seyi Tinubu, son of Nigeria’s President Bola Tinubu, is facing a wave of unfair attacks. Lately, people have been spreading lies to ruin his name. For example, a student leader, Atiku Isah, falsely claimed Seyi was involved in bribery and violence.

These accusations were quickly proven false and withdrawn, showing they’re just part of a smear campaign. Such fake stories, often shared online, are loud but lack proof, yet they’re all some talk about.

At the same time, these critics stay quiet about Seyi’s amazing work. Through the Noella Foundation, run with his wife, Layal, Seyi has helped many Nigerians. NOELLA Foundation gives free medicine to 10,000 poor patients in 60 hospitals and provides solar-powered mobile classrooms for kids who can’t access schools. These efforts have changed lives again and again. And this is not the only way he is contributing to the lives of countless persons across all tribal and age groups.

It’s clear there’s a double standard: critics focus on fake scandals but ignore Seyi’s real impact. This unfair treatment shows bias and distracts from Nigeria’s real issues.

Seyi’s work proves leadership is about making a difference, not chasing headlines. As Nigeria faces its challenges, we should focus less on tearing people down and more on praising those, like Seyi, who help others with honesty and care.
