The MFM Mountain Top Chorale, a choir affiliated with the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries Worldwide, won two gold medals at the prestigious 2024 World Choir Games held in Auckland, New Zealand.

Their win was announced by the General Overseer of MFM, Dr. Daniel Olukoya, who had previously expressed his pride in the choir representing Nigeria on the global stage.

Olukoya wrote on Facebook on Saturday, "Congratulations to the who won two gold medals.

Chaos Ensues as Diesel Tanker Crashes on Lagos-Ibadan Highway

A diesel-laden tanker crashed and spilled its contents on the Otedola bridge, heading towards Berger, along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, on Thursday.

In a video shared by the Lagos State Waste Management Authority on their official social media handle, people could be seen frantically collecting diesel using buckets and containers, both directly from the tanker and the ground.

The accident also led to the collision and damage of a bus marked with the label 'Senior Staff Association of Electricity and Allied Companies.'

Operatives from the Lagos Fire and Rescue Service were present at the scene, working diligently to prevent the risk of a fire outbreak.

The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) has reported that their officials are on-site, actively managing the situation, and efforts are underway to remove the overturned truck.

Pere Reveals His Father's Absence Since Childhood

Big Brother Naija All Stars contestant, Pere Egbi, also known as Pere, recently opened up about his upbringing in an interview with media personality Hero Daniels. Pere disclosed that his father has been absent from his life since he was just four years old.

He shared that his mother, a resilient figure, raised him and his younger sister single-handedly after his father's departure. Despite his father's absence, Pere emphasized that he was fortunate to have other male figures within his family who stepped in and fulfilled the role of a father.

Pere stated, "I like to say I'm from Bayelsa State because my mum is from Bayelsa. My dad, however, hails from Delta State. My father has never been a part of my life at all. He left when I was about 4, and my younger sister was 3. He used to live in America before I was born. He came from America, married my mum, and then returned to America. Various circumstances unfolded, leading to my parents' separation. So, I was primarily raised by my mother."

As the eldest child and the only son, Pere's mother took on the responsibility of providing for their needs, ensuring they had shelter and access to quality education. She managed to cover their school fees from kindergarten through secondary school. Pere then left Nigeria to pursue a nursing degree in the United States, where he had previously served in the US military for six years. Upon completing his military service, he embarked on his educational journey.

Pere fondly reminisced about his upbringing in Warri, as it was the city of his birth and where he spent his formative years.

Despite his father's absence, Pere's story is a testament to the resilience and support of his mother and the positive influence of other male figures in his life.

MohBad, who passed away at the age of 27 on September 12, is remembered with heartfelt tributes. Samklef, a Nigerian artist, took to X, formerly Twitter, to express, "Today marks one month since MohBad left us, but his light continues to pierce through the darkness. Indian Authorities Arrest Nigerians and Sierra Leonean in Drug Trafficking Case

In a recent development, the Special Cell of the Delhi police successfully dismantled an international drug syndicate. This three-member cartel, comprising two Nigerians and one Sierra Leonean, was involved in the distribution of illicit substances across India.

The Statesman, a local media outlet, reported the confiscation of 6kg of methaqualone, a hypnotic drug, and 2kg of he**in from the apprehended individuals. The suspects have been identified as Paul Joy from Sierra Leone, Peace Ilobe, and Stephen, both Nigerian nationals.

The crackdown unfolded as a result of actionable intelligence, leading to a raid near Shiv Murti, Rangpuri, which resulted in the arrests of Paul Joy and Peace Ilobe. Subsequent interrogation revealed that these two individuals had procured the methaqualone consignment from Stephen. He, too, was apprehended in the Mohan Garden area of Uttam Nagar, Delhi.

Further investigations have uncovered that the trio, involved in drug trafficking for two years, were residing in India without proper legal documentation. They now face an array of charges, including cheating, impersonation, forgery, and the possession of counterfeit documents.

The Delhi Police Special Cell has assured the public that a comprehensive inquiry into the matter is currently in progress, as they continue to unearth more details regarding this case.
