Sony Music Publishing Nigeria is seeking two highly motivated and passionate individuals to join our team in Lagos. These internships offer a unique opportunity to gain invaluable experience within the music publishing industry, working to protect the interests and rights of our existing and potential clients—our talented writers and composers.
We are actively seeking candidates for the following roles:
*A&R Intern:* This role is ideal for individuals with a deep passion for music and culture across West Africa and globally. You will gain hands-on experience in talent scouting, music trend analysis, and supporting the development of some of the region's most exciting creatives. Key responsibilities include scouting emerging songwriters, producers, and recording artists across digital platforms and local scenes, assisting with A&R research, and providing creative input on demos.
*Publishing Administration Intern:*
This position is perfect for detail-oriented individuals fascinated by music rights management and royalties. You will assist with catalogue management and data entry, ensuring accurate tracking of ownership shares and facilitating timely payments to songwriters and rights holders.
Responsibilities include assisting in updating and maintaining the internal song catalogue database, registering songs with local and international rights organisations, and supporting efforts to resolve discrepancies in song registration data.
