tOday's topic: PROGRESS IS NOT ALWAYS SEEN WITH THE NAKED EYE.

Any worthwhile project requires considerable time between planting and harvest, but the microwave man's dream is having what you want right now without having to go through " inconveniences." Life on the fast lane has no room for patience. To the modern man, it's old fashioned.

Everybody wants to be an "overnight" success.
What most people don't know is that overnight success is not a thing you achieve in a day . Most often, it takes several years to be an overnight success.

The Chinese bamboo tree when planted shows no sign of growth for five years. The year of watering and fertilizing notwithstanding but after that it grows approximately ninety feet in just a six-weeks period. Notice, it did not grow in six weeks but five years. Those five years enabled it to take root downwards.

Progress is not always seen with naked eye. A baby you hold in your hand today can become a man tomorrow. Most often we don't even notice how they grow.

Every seed planted on good ground in the correct atmosphere, will eventually grow.

Don't keep that dream of yours because you are cut to your destiny. The greatest applause is given only to men who make impactful in people live.

There's no reason to be the richest man in the cemetery. You can't do business there because nobody needs your product. Your only opportunity to make a difference is while you are still alive. Don't die with intentions. The best of intentions has never won a medal. Only what is done is rewarded.

Don't allow your name to be written only as a footnote in history. You become great by doing great things. Even if you are involved in doing only small things, you can do it enthusiastically in great way.

Don't forget, the song you don't sing now cannot be sung in the grave, neither can the book you refuse to write or the love you couldn't express. History doesn't make men, men make history.

Today topic: CAN YOU BLAME SOMEONE FOR YOUR SUCCESS?

"It is not whether you win or lose. It's how you place the blame." Okeh cornelius.

The world is full of blamers who are always pointing accusing fingers at people, things and events that are " responsible" for their misfortunes and failures.
People just blame about anything or anybody in sight. They blame their parents, their teachers, the government, the economy, the weather their watches, their cars and literally everything in sight.

Howard Kenneth Nixon said, " all of us are prone to put the blame for our inefficiency and failure upon society, environment, early training- any place but on our own precious selves." Strangely , you hardly hear of people blaming others for their success. Most often, they prefer to take all the credit when things go well. They tell anybody who cares to listen how intelligent and hardworking they are.
Most people are too proud to credit someone else for their success.
Have you ever thought of blaming someone for your successes? Just think of these ; it was your parent's fault to give birth to you or else you will not be where you are today . Where will you be if they had aborted you? They certainly deserve a good blame. It's your teacher's fault to instruct you by teaching you what you didn't know.
Just think of all those wonderful people- friends, relations, co-workers, spiritual leaders, neighbours, and a host of others ( some of whom you may never know or meet) who gave you a helping hand in one way or the other. Have you been magnanimous enough to ever blame them for that?
Why criticize them for their many mistakes and shortcoming? If you must play the bkame game , blame them rather for their meaningful and positive contributions to your life.

Remember, failure or success is a function of the choice you make and the people who make you. The next time you fell the urge to blame , find someone to blame for your successes.

Topic for today: LOOK FOR THE CLUES:

"Successful people always leave clues behind." Okeh Cornelius.

One of the most successful investores in the world today Warren Buffet said he asked himself three questions before doing business with anybody or any organization.
1. Do I like them?
2.Do I trust them?
3.Do I respect them?
To him the deal is off if any of these questions result in a "No." Many people have lost fortune trusting the wrong people for a deal that looked seemingly right and mouth watering.

One thing is certain, successful people don't do what failures do. Look for the CLUES. Successful people think differently. Even their smiles and handshake are different. They treat people differently, they are disciplined and focused.

If you want to succeed in life , you don't enroll in the academy of failures. You don't learn much about how to succeed in marriage from a divorcee.

You don't learn about making money from poor man. A dirty man can't teach you how to be clean. Don't get me wrong. You can learn from anybody. Even fools remind you of how not to be a fool. But associating with a fool cannot make you wise.

You don't learn about trading from a shoe shiners.
You can never be an accountant reading zoology.
A competent motor mechanic does not use the tools of a carpenter to operate.
You don't learn about trading from a shoe shined.
Look for the CLUES that make people great and understanding.
Find out about their lifestyle, their habits, their attitude and their thinking.
Ask questions, observe, read stories. Find out those things that make them tick and the principles that govern their lives.
Practice it until it because a part of you, like a habit. Look for people who are getting the kind of reslurs you will to have . Make friend with them and learn from from .
Success leaves CLUES behind. Look for the CLUES and stick to them.

Topic today: EVERYBODY NEEDS A FRIEND.

Everybody needs a friend. Real friends make your life rich. One of the greatest benefits of life is making friends and having relationship with people.
Friends keep you going when you feel like quitting. They stand by you no matter what happenes.
Everybody needs a friend. Someone who loves and care. Someone who encourages and understands. Someone who helps ,motivates and enhances your values, visions,self worth and lots more. One who can lend you a listening ear. One you can develop trust and confidence in.
Friends delight in one another's companionship.
Everybody needs a friend. Friends are useful to one another. They love each other and defend each other. " Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend"
Friends provoke one another to good works. They challenge each other for progress. Everybody needs a friend. Friends are valuable in times of need. A friend loves at all time. A friend sticks closer than a brother but he who must have friends must show himself friendly.
You don't make friends by building yourself and tearing others down. Friends are partners in progress.

Topic for today: THE PEOPLE CONNECTION.

No man can fulfill his purpose in isolation. Every teacher need students to succeed, every businessman need customer. You can't be a good wife without a husband, neither can you be an employer without employees. A king is worthless without subject.
Great success always comes as a result of contacts with people in one way or the other. The reason for any vision is people. Without people, you have no business. Where there are no people, dreams and vision are paralyzed.
When you identify the right people who can help you fulfill your purpose, give them a kingly treatment. People who help you climb the success ladder, deserve only one kind of treatment- first class.
Remember, there are people specially prepared to be a blessing your life and help you reach your destiny. These add meaning to your life. They contribute to your progress. They promote your self worth, value and dignity.
These are asserd that shouldn't be treated anyhow. A liability is one who doesn't add to your abilities.
The steal and destroy your dreams and blur your vision.
Rather than encouragement, they bring only discouragement, fear and hopelessness. They take away your confidence. These need to be discarded because, they can only make your journey stressful thus hindering You from enjoying the ride to your Destiny. Better be alone than in bad company. A German proverb says, " when a dove begins to associate with crows, it's feathers remains white but it's heart grows black."
Go for people who will promote and sell you not those who will bring you ruin, reproach and shame.

Topic for today: YOU CAN SET YOURSELF UP.

" No man can make you inferior without your consent." Okeh cornelius.

A time comes in your life when you have to learn to talk to yourself , with yourself , by yourself. That is called self-talk; a private conversation that you have with yourself.
Self-talk can be negative or positive, some people talk themselves into su***de, crime, failure, abortion and so on. The things you say to yourself influences your behaviour.

Never say " i cant," never say " it's impossible." Never talk yourself out of a miracle. Never eliminate yourself from the success chain. Never say never. If you talk negative things to yourself, you will not find positive things in others and in your world.

Take up the challenge to always speak positive things concerning you. Learn to look at the positive side of live learn to encourage and strengthen yourself . Learn to develop the "I can make it attitude." See yourself in the winner's circle. Develop a winner mentality. See yourself not based on where you have been but where you want to be.

When you talk to yourself you prophesy to yourself. When you talk to yourself you strengthen yourself . Remember , a man is not defeated by his enemise, but by himself.

When you talk to yourself in the affirmative you set yourself up for victory.
Don't wait for others to set you up. They may come too late. You can set yourself up.

Don't build a case against yourself . Develop the habit of looking at yourself in the the mirror and talking to yourself. Remember, nobody can market you like you.

Give yourself a pep talk everyday ; encourage yourself , strengthen yourself. Tell yourself daily, based on the dreams you have , that you can make it . Smile at yourself . Laugh with yourself, appreciate yourself and be happy with who you are.

Dress, think, talk and act like the place you are going . Don't allow the world treat you like a slave , when there is a king in you . Carry yourself with honour and dignity. Think tall, walk tall, talk tall. All winners talk to themselves, with themselves by themselves for themselves.
Start now and do it flamboyant.

TOpic for today: GOOD FINDERS ARE NOT FAULT FINDERS.

" He has a right to critise, who has a heart to help." Okeh cornelius.

CRITICISM is easy, it involves doing absolutely nothing but watching actors on stage. Champions don't criticizes they are too busy doing their work to mind others. Critics talk because its easier to talk . When champions see other who want to succeed but are less talented or less experienced, they help them out.
Critics run down future champions and try to make their lives intolerable and miserable.
Don't listen to critics if you are going somewhere.
Because they will discourage you from taking the next step.
Fault-finders are not reliable fact finders. Ignore them and where you can , eliminate them from the chain of people you relate with.
Critics only point at what is wrong with you but you need people who can tell you what is right with you.
A wise man said the greatest good we can do for other is to reveal their riches to them.
According to Dale carnegie," criticism is dangerous, because it wounds a man's precious pride, hurt his sense of importance and arouses his resentment."
Criticism destroys a person's confidence, encourages mediocrity, and stifles creativity. It questions a person's worth thus depreciating his/her value.
Look for the good in people not the bad in them.
Nobody was ever rewarded for finding fault. Compliment, don't destroy. Appreciate, don't devalue. Be a "good finder" not a " fault finder." The world has enough critics what it needs are encouragers.
Running people down can never make you a better person. You don't have to use a cutlass to remove a dirt from your friend's face. In case you have been a victim of unfair criticism, remember some criticism is plain envy and mediocrity on display.
Malcolm forbes commented, and said " if you have no critics you likely have no successes. " Nobody ever minds the mind that is doing nothing, becoming nothing and going nowhere.
