The reason Nigeria is the way it is, has a lot to do with the fact that most Nigerians are not aware of how politics ought to function.
They mistake the feud between members of the cabal of exploiters, as politics. Even the news media report these feuds as political news.
Let me break down what is happening. Mr Wike like most Nigerian politicians seek control of the resources and assets of the nation. Sim was his partner in crime as his accountant general. He then made him Governor to act as a gatekeeper of the wealth of the state.
Sim who also wishes to amass his own wealth and power decided to takeover and that’s where the two exploiters fell out.
Since Wike had already amassed more money than he knows what to do with, he can easily buy off every politician in Rivers state.
Sim would need the parliament to approve budgets and since Wike is aware that approving the budget means access to state funds for Sim, he opposes it and that is why the main arena for their feud is the house of assembly and the time when the issues come up is during budget reading.
What Nigerians should be writing all over the comment section and protesting in the streets for are the following:
WE HAVE NO JOBS, WE HAVE NO AFFORDABLE HEALTHCARE, WE HAVE NO SECURITY, WE HAVE NO FOOD, WE CAN NO LONGER AFFORD OUR CHILDREN’S SCHOOL FEES, WE ARE HUNGRY, COST OF LIVING IS TOO HIGH, COST OF ENERGY IS HIGH.
These things are YOUR class interests!
Just as gaining power and having access to public funds, resources and assets of the state is the class interest of the members of the cabal of exploiters which includes all these fools that you people are calling your excellency.

I watch in bewilderment how grown ups are busy taking sides between two men who they have nothing whatsoever in common with.
